Adrian and Feraligat'r marched out of the Dragon's Den in perfect synchronization. He carried 5 pokeballs around his belt, all of which filled with Dragonair to trade, sell, or offer as prizes in battles. He stopped off at his house while Feraligat'r waited outside, picked up his usual team, dropped off all but one of the pokeballs, and left for the Gym.

He walked up to Claire, who stood there with her arms crossed.

"Well look who it is." She said with venom. She glanced at the pokeball in his hand and smirked. "Going to try and defeat me at my own game, huh?"

Adrian got angry, and struck his battle pose. Claire laughed, then leaped back and tossed a pokeball into the air. A Dragonair materialized on the Gym's battlefield. Adrian threw out his newest Dragonair. It looked around, confused as to what was about to happen.
"You know..." she shouted at him across the arena, "the rules state that a trainer may only carry 6 pokemon at a time, but I'll over look that today. Come at me!"

Claire's Dragonair dashed towards Adrian's. He commanded it out of the way, and it nimbly swirled past Claire's attack.
"Good. Now hit it with Horn Attack"
Claire's partner just sat there. Then Adrian's Dragon-type moved in for the strike, Claire's wrapped it's body around it, they're heads facing eachother square. Claire smirked. "Ice Beam!"
Adrian's dragonair hit the ground, knocked out after one hit. "That's your problem, boy. You can catch all the powerful pokemon in the world, but if you don't train them, they'll be as useless as an egg in battle.

Adrian grunted, then threw out another pokeball. Feraligat'r emerged on all fours, blue flame already forming in it's mouth. "Feraligat'r! Dragon Rage!!" The spiral of blew flame poured from the great beast's jaws, pushing Dragonair back, crashing down in front of Claire. It got back up and snaked it's way towards Feraligat'r again.
"Dragonair, Zen Headbutt!" Dragonair dashed towards Feraligat'r at full speed, who stepped to the side.
Adrian smirked. "Hyper Fang."
Feraligat'r clamped it's jaws down on Dragonair's neck. It cried out in pain, writhing around. He crushed Dragonair several times in it's jaws,whipping his head back and forth. "Stop it!" Claire yelled, tears in her eyes."You're hurting it!"
But Feraligat'r kept it's jaws locked, the energy surging through it's teeth burning Dragonair's skin. "That's enough, Feraligat'r. Spit it out." Feraligat'r tossed Dragonair across the stadium, it wiping out at Claire's feet. "I've won."
"You think that's how you battle pokemon?! You could have killed Dragonair!!!"
"I've won."
"If you think you're walking out of here with the Badge, you're sourly mistaken."
"I've won. I want my badge now." Feraligat'r crouched down and snarled.
Claire reached into her pocket and threw the badge at him. "Fine, take it. Take it and leave. Now."
Adrian recalled Feraligat'r and walked out of the gym, holding his own Dragonair's pokeball in his hand. He threw it behind him, and it rolled it's way to Claire. "A present."
He went into his bedroom and set the Rising Badge with the others. "That makes eight..." He placed his pokeballs on his desk and flopped down on the bed. He would make his return to the Sinnoh region soon. Soon, Arceus would bow to his will.

Sam had just landed in time to see the man's training. She ran to catch up with him as he walked away. She didn't want to be a loner in Blackthorn. Even if he was busy like he looked, he could probably give her directions to somewhere she could hang out. She called Honchcrow back into it's pokeball and sent out Tyranitar for his special trip. "Hi!" she said to Adrian. "That was some impressive training back there. I'm Sam. I'm here from Goldenrod for a day trip. I was hoping to find someone to hang out with. Or at least point me in the right direction to do some sightseeing", she explained to him.

"Sure!" she said cheerfully, "I'd love to come. I'm more of a dark type trainer, but Dratini is super cute", she said. "Come on, Ty! You're going to love this", she called to Tyranitar. Then she followed Adrian to Dragon's Den.

"Nah, it's okay", Sam said to Adrain. "I don't battle much, you'd beat me easy", she laughed. She looked at the Garchomp. "Hey, your Garchomp looks pretty vicious. How have you been treating it?" she asked in a worried tone. Pokemon don't act like that on their own accord. Tyranitar stepped in front of her defensively. "Back down, Ty, it's okay", she said, stroking his arm gently. He stepped back immediatly. "Good boy", she said sweetly. She strongly felt that Pokemon should be rewarded, either in words or treats, for doing the right thing.

"No, I love hearing other people's stories", she said. "My partner is Mightyena. I got him as a birthday gift from my parents when I was ten. He was just a little Poochyena. He still acts like a puppy now. I don't think he ever grew up", she said with a laugh. "The rest of my Pokemon I just caught the old fashioned way. I came over here as a special treat for Tyranitar", she said. Tyranitar smiled happily in response.

"He always gets excited when he sees other dragon-types", Sam said with a laugh. "Not many people I know train them, so it's kind of a novelty for him", she said. "Plus, I've never been here before, so my Honchcrow enjoyed flying somewhere new aswell", she said. "It made everyone happy. And if my Pokemon are happy, I'm happy", she said. Tyranitar was looking around him happily, stopping every now and then to greet another dragon pokemon, then running to catch up with Sam and Adrian.

"I'm not going for the league at the moment, but you seem pretty keen to battle", Sam said. She grinned. "Let's battle anyway. Just for fun. Then I'll take you up on that picnic offer", she said.

((Edit: Moveset is ready. It's pretty lazy though. I just gave them all random moves that they can learn.))

Sam grinned. "Sure is", she said. She pulled out a pokeball from her bag and threw it. "I'll start with Unbreon", she said as Umbreon landed gentley on her paws on the ice. She held her head high. Sam laughed at her. "She's such a snob", she joked. Umbreon tossed her head in response.
