[NPC] GRS Accountant Ivan GRS NewsGood news, taxpayers: the Valentine's Day event drained an amazing 1,477,804,200 from the Gaian economy! Now that's the kind of fiscal responsibility you can hang your hat on! Well ********. Sure you now have a butt load of money that goes into crappy items in an over inflated economy. Are You Happy Yet? xD

So what they're saying is "yay, our valentines cash sink worked". Way to go Gaia, as if the day itself isn't already commercialized enough.

I'm sure they made money with the limited cash items, but I think they are referring to the massive amount of gold they sucked out of the system. Compared to other items worth the amount of gold, they were actually cheap to buy with cash. I guess this made many people buy them, just to sell them for gold. Maybe the written amount of gold was the amount that went poof with the taxes? neutral

They're telling you, just like the save our shop event where gaians donated x amount of choosing to save shops etc, what was drained out of the economy.
Another words with all the users that played the v-day event giving gifts, especially the anons, over all, the gaian population bought with gold a grand total of that much items. They're not telling you the cash shop items.

Oh, gold not cash. Even though reducing the money supply is a way of combating inflation, the way they say it just sounds WRONG.

hanaze_ako Oh, gold not cash. Even though reducing the money supply is a way of combating inflation, the way they say it just sounds WRONG. Agreed. my bad, it sounded bad and i've been too busy to come back and see this lol. but still, if they sucked out that much, there's still people buying items and selling them for an over priced amount so....essentially the question is: Did they really do anything?
