I don't know if anyone who's ever watched the Exorcist ever bothered reading the book, but I wanted to suggest it to anyone who's bothered watching the first and third Exorcist movies. I don't know how much people bother with it anymore since the book was written in 1971, but I would definitely vote it as worth the time to read for anyone who enjoyed those movies.
I've had the book kicking around for awhile now and only just got around to reading it recently. William Peter Blatty is actually a really good writer, and the First movie stayed pretty true to the novel. The third movie actually took parts from the book that they didn't get to put in the first movie which I thought was fantastic.
Any suggestions by anyone for books that were translated to horror movies, that might go overlooked because of it's age?
