I picked up a book not too long ago called "Splatterpunks." It's an older book, but the title was pretty fun so I couldn't resist.

Clive Barker has a story called "The Midnight Meat Train" in it, and a story featured that got made into a movie later. "While She Was Out".

I haven't seen the movie "While She Was Out" but the story was actually pretty good. Some of the stories aren't as disgusting, horrifying or shocking as they claim the entire series to be, but personally I found that most of the stories had something interesting to contribute. My favourite story was "Meathouse Man" that was republished in another anthology later on called "The Living Dead" (which from search queries seems a more popular read.)

Highly recommend it! I did say that some of the stories aren't as gruesome, vile or shocking as they say it is so don't be disappointed if you go in expecting every story to be exactly that.

And finally a question...what other horror movies were made from novels/short stories? I'm now trying to compile a list to read of stories/books that were made into movies later. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!
