Well for those who aren't aware already,
a man in Germany was cured of AIDS by using stem cells from a person who was immune to the HIV virus.

But regardless, it's an amazing step in science and hopefully the cure for this disease can become a lot more pragmatic!

Sounds like a great step forward indeed. Stem-cell research is controversial but one can't deny the benefits it can bring, like that case. Firsthand immunity is as good as a cure when it comes to disease.

The down side to this is that the fundies now have another reason to be against stem cell reasearch sweatdrop .
