"Could you define 'Chemical Romance' for me please?" He asked me while pacing slowly back and forth between me and the door.
"A Chemical Romance is an addiction to alcohol or drugs, isn't it?" I'd always thought that's what it was. That was the definition I'd always heard.
"That's one definition. The other is quite different. You might say 'soul mate' or 'perfect match.'" He sat across from me, still a little fidgety. He was too obviously nervous.
"What do you mean? I don't get it. You're going to have to explain that one to me," I said. I could feel the confusion spreading across my face with my blush. His expression softened when he saw this.
"The definition that you gave is the original reason the band was named that. But what I'm about to tell you can be very confusing, so you need to listen closely." He told me. I nodded and he continued. "Each person has another person who is perfect for them. This is a Chemical Romance.
"Inside each person is a distinct and unique combination of natural chemicals. For every one combination, there is an identical match somewhere else in the world. Most people never even meet their Chemical Romances and end up marrying some random person they happen to love at the time.
"My brother found his Chemical Romance, and married her. So did my two other friends. They know what it's like. They told me about it. When you see your Chemical Romance for the first time, you get jittery, excited. You absolutely know that's the person you're supposed to be with."
I interrupted him. "How do you know all this?"
"You're going to think this is crazy, but I had a dream. All of us did. I think it had something to do with naming the band that. An angel or something told us about it. We weren't supposed to tell anyone except our Chemical Romances about it, if that. So this means you have to keep the whole chemical combination a secret. Okay?"
I nodded slowly while I thought over what he was saying. Then it hit me. "So, why are you telling me all this?"
"I saw you at the concert tonight-" He stopped himself and stood. "When you first saw a picture of me, how did you feel?" He didn't answer my question.
"I-uh. I was excited, I guess." I began, "I had the butterflies and that instantaneous thought of 'I love you.' But I just passed it off as 'oh my god. He sings amazingly AND he's gorgeous. He's perfect!' I never really felt I was in love until I saw a quote that revealed your respect for women."
"How exactly did you find that quote?" He was pacing again in that same slow way as before.
I blushed a little. "I was doing research."
"Exactly."
"What?"
"You wouldn't have been doing research if you hadn't been interested when you saw my picture."
"What are you suggesting?" I stood, ready to leave if I had to.
He was suddenly in front of me. "How do you feel right now?"
"A little anxious and excited. I have butterflies, but then again, it's you." I backed up a little and stumbled to a sitting position in the chair he'd just made vacant. I looked up at him, butterflies filling my whole body. They crowded in my head, making it hard to think. "Are you suggesting that we-. That you're-. That I-," I stammered.
"We're a Chemical Romance." With that, he knelt down, leaned over and kissed me right on the lips. Everything else was gone. There were no sounds, nothing to see. Everything had disappeared. It was just us. The butterflies that had threatened to suffocate me only seconds before turned to little stars. The stars sparked and faded over and over.
It wasn't until we were pulled apart that we realized his brother and the two friends he'd mentioned earlier had entered the room. He was still kneeling in front of me. We sat there for a minute staring at each other.
He leaned in close to me and took my head in both hands. He brought his face close to mine and whispered, "I love you."
I smiled and whispered back, "I love you, too, Gerard."

Nelly Kay Does anyone even come into this section of the forums to read anything but Ferard fan fics?! That's pretty ******** up. You have to keep in mind of other's personal preference. For instance, I only like reading slash that involves the band members themselves, so, that does include Frerard, Waycest, Fraycest, Frikey, Frob, Fray, or any other pairing that involves the band members. I don't really like the stories when the author inserts themselves into the story and falls in love with one of the members. I hate that, but that's my opinion. Oh, and I did read your fanfic, and, based on my preferences, I think that Gerard is talking to Frank, because you didn't use a name. For all I know, you could've put yourself in there, or maybe even Lyn-Z, but from what I like, I think it's Frank. So, don't call anything '******** up,' because a bunch of people like Frerard. Other people could be looking at you and calling you ******** up, because you may have inserted yourself into the story. Just saying.

I'm not calling someone ******** up because they like Ferard (or other pairings like you said). I'm calling it ******** up that no one would look at it unless I asked them to. I don't mean to offend anyone, I'm sori if I did. I know that could say that, I personally don't care what they say about me, but I didn't insert myself. You notice Gerard did not say the name of who he loved. I left it blank so that anyone reading it could put in whoever you want in it. I hope you enjoied it however you saw it.

I didn't mean to offend anyone with that comment. What I meant to say was that it seemed like no one would even look at my post unless it was a Ferard fanfic. That was a little upsetting. I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with Ferard (Or any other pairings). I'm sorry to any person I might have offended in saying that.

I have a question. By the way you describe chemical romances, it sounds like you're just describing love at first sight, or just lust at first sight, since it seems like you're basing the romances off their physical appearance. Was this your intent?

Um, there is my incomplete stori in Original Stories/Prose called "Not Even Time Can Stand Between Us (Incomplete: Almost Done)" Then in Original Poetry/Lyrics, there is one called "Life and Death" and one called "The Wraith and The Bell" which I am really proud of.

loup et hibou I have a question. By the way you describe chemical romances, it sounds like you're just describing love at first sight, or just lust at first sight, since it seems like you're basing the romances off their physical appearance. Was this your intent? It's more love at first sight, but this stori is nothing more than something I dreamed up one night. Um, I don't really know what to tell you from there. This is basically a complicated way of saying, "Anyone can have love at first sight. Everyone has a soul mate. Anyone can meet that soul mate, but most people never do." This is just stepping it up a notch saying, "You will absolutely know when you've found your perfect match and you'll love them at once." And the combination of natural chemical thing.....I honestly think my dreams are pretty strange most of the time. They are never realistic fiction. That kinda makes it science fiction. Maybe to add a bit of magic to love. God knows the world needs it.
