So I decided to write a fan fiction, due to intense boredom. This will contain 4 short chapters and an epilogue, told in Frank's P.O.V. Slightly based on the Song "Summertime".
I will try to update every couple of days.
I own nothing except the plot.

Chapter One: Kicked Out
You can run away with me, Gerard had said. I knew I could. But I didn’t. I will regret that for the rest of my life.
It started early summer. I was just finishing my Senior year at Jersey High School. I had a small group of friends I hung out with, Gerard’s brother Mikey, Ray, and Gerard himself. These people meant more to me than anything. I loved them. But I loved Gerard more. There was something about him-something special- that drew me to him. Maybe it was the way he stood up for me. Maybe it was the way he talked to me when we were alone. I don’t remember.
One thing I did remember was that night. Gerard and I had been secretly dating for about a year. We met at our special place underneath the park’s biggest tree.
“Hey,” he said, his long, black hair getting in his eyes. “Hey,” I said back.
“You know how we’ve been dating for a year?” he asked, a little nervously.
I nodded and he continued. “My parents are getting suspicious. They have been questioning me and I finally spilled. I’m sorry.”
"And what did they say?” I asked him.
“They…they don’t approve of…of us being together, of us seeing each other secretly. I told them that I didn’t care what they thought, and they kicked me out.” He was crying now.
I just wrapped my arms around him, holding him close.
“Shh,” I said. “Don’t cry. Everything’s gonna be alright.”
“But I have nowhere to go,” Gee said, wiping his eyes on his sleeve.
“You can stay with me,” I offered. I moved out of my mom’s house last year, and I had gotten an apartment a couple blocks away.
“Are you sure?” he asked pulling away from my embrace.
“Yes. I’m sure,” I said. “Were is your stuff?”
Gee just shook his head. I hugged him again.
“C’mon, my house isn’t that far,” I said.
He just sighed and followed.

Chapter Two: Finding Out
We arrived home with little problems. Gerard immediately claimed the couch for himself. I laughed and grabbed a blanket from my bed, and I gently put it on Gerard’s now sleeping form. I gently leaned forward and kissed his head. Then I went to my own bed for the night.
Gerard was already awake when I woke up. He was holding a mug filled with strong black coffee.
“How did you sleep?” I asked.
“I slept fine, how about you?” he asked.
“I slept fine,” I replied, going to the kitchen to make some breakfast. I grabbed the eggs from the small refrigerator I had, and started to put them in the pan. When they were finished, I put them on two plates, and then, after pouring myself some coffee, I sat down to eat.
I grabbed the paper, and started to read. There was nothing interesting, so I flicked through it uninterestedly.
“Have you read the paper lately?” Gerard asked, digging into his food.
“No, why?” I replied.
“I’ve been keeping tabs on the draculoids and BL/ind. It seems that they are getting more dangerous. We are also wanted for rebellion or something like that,” he explained to me. This is when I noticed our pictures on the front cover, as well as Ray's and Mikey's.
I processed that information. “So BL/ind. is getting more dangerous, and we are wanted,” I said.
“Yeah, but what’s worse is that the leader of BL/ind is looking for us, and he’s searching through all of Battery City,” he said, his face paler than normal.
“And if they find us?” I asked.
“If they find us, we die,” he replied emotionless.
“What are we gonna do about it?” I asked.
“There’s nothing we can do,” he said sullenly.
The unsaid thing remained in the air: We could always run away.

Chapter Three: The Plan
Gerard had contemplated the thought of running away for days. He didn’t get any sleep, and he started to become paranoid.
They’re after me, he would mumble, while pacing the floor. I started to get worried. If they were after us, we needed some way to destroy them, or at least get them off our backs long enough to run away.
“If we do run away, where are we going to go?” I asked Gerard. He stopped pacing long enough to answer my question. “Wherever we can.”
I thought about this. Sure there were other cities in the area, but we didn’t know how to get there. We needed a plan.
“What’s the plan, then?” I asked Gerard.
He stopped pacing. I could see a flash of hope in his bright, hazel eyes. “Give me a paper and a pen,” he requested. I gave him the material. He started to frantically scribble on the paper. I watched him. The paper had coordinates on it, along with the names of the other Killjoys. They were spread out, facing our most vulnerable spots. There were always two Killjoys standing back to back.
“There,” he said, putting the finishing touches on the plan. “Now, we just need the Killjoys.”
I nodded in agreement. But a problem still lingered.
“How are we going to contact them, without BL/ind. getting suspicious?” I asked.
“With this thing,” he said, pointing to a radio- like contraption in the corner. I nodded.
“What do we do after we contact them?” I asked.
“We get ready for war,” Gerard answered. “Now get some sleep. You’re gonna need it.”

Chapter Four: The Battle
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Killjoy names. I got them off of a website.
I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. I went into the kitchen, and I saw Gerard, along with Mikey and Ray. They were all dressed in funny-looking clothing, rather than our normal uniforms. They also had ray guns.
“Get dressed,” Gerard told me. He had dyed his hair bright red for the occasion. I did as I was told. Gerard handed me a ray gun, and then we all got into the car. It wasn’t a long drive, and we arrived there quickly. There were already other Killjoys in the desert area. I suspected Gerard contacted them after I went to sleep.
We got out of the car, and Gerard had the rest of the Killjoys assemble around us. He laid out the plan.
“Killjoys Cellophane Violence and Tender Gunner, go to the east side of the desert. The rest of you team up in pairs of two, and stay hidden. If you see a draculoid, shoot them, and then the rest of you follow suit. Fun Ghoul and I will take on Korse if we see him.”
We all went to our stations. We waited a short while, and then Cellophane Violence fired shot. It hit the draculoid square in the chest. All of the Killjoys then ran to battle. Gerard and I stayed, however, to look for Korse. I heard a noise behind me, and I turned around. Two draculoids were behind us. I raised my gun, and fired. It missed. Gerard heard the noise as well, and he shot one of the draculoids. A laser beam barely hit his head. He turned around, and there was Korse. Gerard turned and the two started to battle it out. We were back to back now. I was fighting this draculoid, and Gerard was fighting the leader of BL/ind. I shot the draculoid, but there were more coming.
“Just hold them off!” Gerard shouted. I did the best I could. Gerard and Korse had moved to the middle of the battlefield now, and it was a closely matched duel. Around me, Killjoys screamed, and the sound of laser beams ripping through the air was present. I fought off the draculoids as best I could, but it seemed like they had a never-ending army.
The rest of the battle was a blur. All I know was that it was over. As I walked to get to Gerard, I saw many bodies of our fellow Killjoys. I turned away from them. Mikey and Ray were on the floor, and badly injured. The remaining Killjoys were trying to heal them. I just walked past them, intent on seeing Gerard. I walked to where I knew he would be, but he wasn’t there. I walked among the dead bodies of the draculoids. There, I found a shock of bright red hair, hidden under a jacket. I recognized it as Mikey’s jacket. Fear rose inside me. Gerard couldn’t be dead, I thought. I lifted the jacket just to make sure. I saw Gerard, with his bright red hair, and his lifeless eyes. They will haunt me forever.
I regret that I couldn’t run away with him. That was plan B, if we made it out alive. You can run away with me. Can. That was the key word. I hated that word ever since.
I turned away. Mikey and Ray came running towards me. I just stared at the sandy desert. They shared a look, and ran to Gerard’s body. I heard a scream, and I went over to see if Mikey was okay. He was kneeling over his brother’s dead body. He was crying silently. Ray just stood next to Mikey, his eyes hard. We didn’t say anything, and we let Mikey have his moment. I found myself crying with him. I fell on the desert floor, defeated. I guess I fell asleep, because I woke up in my apartment. Ray and Mikey were already there. Mikey’s eyes were bloodshot. Ray was silently fuming. They were both sitting at the table. Gerard’s body was wrapped in a white bag. I swallowed thickly, and went over to the table. Mikey was the only one that spoke. “When’s the funeral?”

Epilogue The funeral was everything Gerard deserved. The church was decorated in all of his favorite colors. His closest friends were there. It was a sad ceremony. I looked around. Mikey and Ray were seated on either side of me. There were a lot of people at the funeral; mostly Killjoys. We were all dressed in black, to respect Gerard. The whole event was sad, but Mikey’s eulogy was really bittersweet. He went up to where the coffin sat, the lifeless body of Gerard inside. He started to speak. “I know that a lot of you are here because Gerard died. I’m here for the same reason. You probably didn’t know him as well as I did, though. He was the nicest person I’ve ever known. He had a temper and a heart. He used that heart to fight BL/ind, because he cared about us. He loved us all, in some way, and he didn’t want to see us hurt. That was brave of him. I don’t think anyone wanted freedom from them as much as he did. He… he was a good man.” Mikey started to choke up. He went to Gerard’s coffin, and put a red rose in between his fingers. He came to sit next to Ray and I. He looked as sad as I felt. It was time to pay our last respects. I took the rose I had in my hands, and I followed the people to Gerard’s coffin. The priest had already closed the top, so I couldn’t see his face. I gently placed my rose on top of the coffin. It was the only black rose there. XOXO Whenever things get a little too tough to handle, I would sit by his grave, and think. Sometimes I would talk about my problems. I would spend hours upon hours on end, just staring at the words engraved into the headstone, not really reading, just staring.
