Pretty self-explanatory. I want to fight somebody, which is rare for me! A large open field with a stream running through the center. It is still in Soul Society.

Danea walked into an empty field somewhere in the midst of the Soul Society and fell into the grass. She was very nonchalant about it. She didn't really mind whether or not there would be someone else there. She was in the mood for a fight after that encounter with her captain but she was also one of those people who generally avoided fighting. Maybe that was why she was at such a low rank. She never pushed herself forward. She just remained content where she was.
She let the warm sunlight wash over her face. There was something different about the sun here but at least it was sun. Before she wasn't even allowed that much. She pulled a flower from the earth next to her and smelled it. Its sweet scent was perfect for a day like today.

Tydai walked into a grassy field where he always sat and meditated. He kept his mask on this morning as he walked into the field. His mask was a bright brown because he was anticipating something new happening today. As he kept walking in the field, the wind blew a strong and gusty breeze. The hair behind Tydai's mask flowed with the wind. He kept walking and saw a young women in the field to his left, about 40 feet away. He had never seen her around this area or around the Seireitei in general. He redirected his course so that he could find out who this women was. " Excuse me Ms, but I have never seen you around here before. Are you new to the Seireitei?" His voice was a little muffled by his mask as he spoke.

Dani looked up from her restful position as she heard a voice. Of course she had never come here before but she also hadn't expected anyone else to be here. She sat straight up and looked over and the man approaching her. His mask was slightly suspicious but she knew that Soul Society had a whole variety of people in it who felt more comfortable one way or another.
The strong breeze blew around the both of them and she was forced to tuck her haid behind her ears to prevent it from flying wildly into her face. Maybe that was why he wore the mask...
"Um... Hello! I'm not really new but I am newer than most people. My name's Danea. Everyone just usually calls me Dani though."

Tydai looked at Dani through his mask. He went ahead and sat down next to her and got into his meditation stance. "My name is Tydai, I am the LT of Squad 4. Its a pleasure to meet you Ms Dani." He continued to meditate to get a feel off of the girl. He could tell that she wasn't a fighter but her aura was a little uneasy. "So, what brings you here Dani?"

Dani sighed and laid back down in the grass. Her fingers nervously picked at the blades of grass around her. It was strange being around people of such a higher position in a casual environment. She had to resist the urge to constantly bow to him and speak respectfully.
"Well, I suppose I was just looking for a place to spend some time after a rather awkward conversation with my captain."

Tydai was confused on what she was talking about. He didn't even know what squad she was in. "Do you mind if I ask what conversation? Maybe I can help clear the air on some stuff." His masked turned green as he was smiling and trying to help was one of his only joys. He couldn't help but understand a bit where she was coming from when he was first in the soul society. Everything was always weird so maybe he could help on some things.

Danea smiled a bit. At least someone she could talk to existed. Considering that she hadn't found anyone else in her squad, she was worried that she was the only one put there. She knew that was illogical to think but she had thought it. Really though, it was a dumb thought because she had trained with a ton of people and they couldn't have simply disappeared.
She was about to speak when she realized that her captain may have told her those things in confidentiality. She didn't want to betray his trust but she also didn't want to avoid speaking about it altogether. She tried to think of a way to phrase it that wouldn't entirely ruin either side.
"Umm... Well, I'm a new member of Squad 12, actually. I haven't even been given a real rank yet. I was talking to my captain and he simply said I had the potential to become a captain. Which I seriously doubt and told him was unreasonable. Then he just left. And it was weird."

Tydai's eyes lit up behind his mask as he had heard that Dani was apart of his old squad. No body knew who exactly he was and he wanted to keep it that way for awhile but he never would've guessed that today would be the day that he runs into another Squad 12 member. "So...Squad 12? So that means your an inventor not a fighter?" He looked out in the distance. The wind gusted as he spoke the next words. "And Captain Material? My my, thats a big assumption." He stood up after saying that and walked forward a bit. "To be a higher ranking officer, you need to be skilled at fighting and you must be intelligent. That way, you have a greater chance of survival and a greater chance of keeping your squad alive." He turned around after walking about 20 feet away in front of Dani, He stood with his back towards her. "I can tell your very intelligent...but" He turned around to look at Dani. His mask had turned red at this point. His hand was on the butt of his zanpakuto. "I don't know how your combat skills are...shall we test them?" He waited for Dani to reply to his request.

Dani tried to smile. She had avoided the awkward conversation about her captain but now she was being asked to fight a man she knew nothing about. It was so strange how easily the subject had changed. The man seemed quite eager for a fight as well. She wasn't sure about how much she really liked that.
Nonetheless, she stood up slowly and mentally got ready for a fight. She wasn't going to like fighting but she wasn't going to have to severely hurt him or anything. In fact, she probably had to be more worried about herself.
"Well, alright but I'm not saying that there was any truth in what he said."

Tydai then pulled out his zanpakuto unreleased. He knew that this had been sudden but being that she was from Squad 12 and captain potential, he wanted to see if he could teach her a thing or two. "You can have the first attack Ms. Dani, just know that I won't seriously injure you...on purpose." He stood there with his sword in his left hand waiting for a attack. On the outside he was calm but on the inside he was shaking. He loved the rush of fighting but he also knew he hasn't fought against anyone in a long time.

Danea resisted the urge to turn away. It was so strange that he was eager to fight a comrade. Then again, she knew how precious training could be. If they didn't do it enough, they would be behind everyone else. Still... She was worried to be getting into this. She didn't know what his skills were or how strong he was. If she got hurt, even accidentally, she would be worried about her validity as a soul reaper.
She unsheathed her own zanpaktou and held it out carefully. It wasn't extremely long but it suited her fighting style. She was either into very close range combat or extremely far distance. In her mind, she tried to determine what sort of fighting skills he would have but she had issues doing so. And the mask hid any emotion. This was going to be her first real battle since graduation.
"Don't go easy on me. I need to know how well I can handle myself."
Immediately after saying it, she dashed toward him, swinging her blade straight for his legs.

Tydai saw that Dani had dashed forward and had shunpoed to the left about 5 feet away. When her blade went at his legs, it was like hitting a afterimage of Tydai. When the blade hit the legs of the image, it had disapeared. "So... flicker step with a forward slash to my calfs..." He turned to Dani but dashed backwards to get a good 5 more feet away. "Make sure you are confident, that will help you more then thinking about what I can do."

Dani sighed as her blade connected with thin air. She never had been exceedingly good at attacking from a mid-distance area.The closer, the better. She could keep up pretty well. The only problem was getting to that point. She would have to somehow get there.Then she would be confident enough. She would be even happier at an extremely long distance if she released her zanpaktou. But she was waiting to see his skills prior to that.
She instead made a series of rapid attacks, eacch getting nearer and nearer to her 'enemy'. They began from the head and inched down as she went. Hopefully he wouldn't be able to dodge them all.
