Sounds like...a horrible way to get user input. Alienates users like me, who to be frank couldn't really care about it anymore.
Also, cookies? Seriously? Besides sounding condescending, seems like someone couldn't get enough of the last event. Pie-->cookies, and I for one actually mistook the announcement as a continuation of the whole pie thing at first.

I think it's unfair towards newbies, who should actually have just as much to say as oldbies, even though they can't buy 10 cookies. I just hope their new ideas are worth the time...

2 valid points. Though it beats me why the existing feedback channels were not chosen, since that's already there. As a (the way I read their intent) method of sieving out noise from feedback, I just hope it works, but not having high hopes.
