Hmm, yeah if they made new backgrounds I'd be like 'heeeeelll to the yeah!' or if you could switch them without problems...
Although I wonder what they actually look like? Anyone have a link to some screenies or anything? I'd prefer not to click one and then be like 'oh that looks retarded' XDD

Personally, I don't really see a point. After all, you can just set up a chat thread for the purpose of socializing, instead of purchasing a field for it.
But I guess some people like clicking and running around and having the option of IM.
