I found this, and I know that it's not sad, nor depressing, but hopefully it will make you laugh or at the very least smile.
"who the hell names hurricanes and why do they give them the least threatening names? If you see on the news that hurricane Erin is blowing through, you're like 'Pfft. Erin? I can take that sl*t'. But if it's like hurricane Dicksmasher is coming, you'd pack your stuff and leave immediately."

They are named in the order that they occur every year.
The first hurricane of the year is Hurricane A or Andrew.
The second hurricane of the year is Hurricane B or Beatrice.
The third hurricane of the year if Hurricane C or Carie.
...Hm, "Carie" was rather threatening. I mean, she did kill everyone at her senior Prom...

Like I said, twasn't sad or anything, just something I found. It made me laugh, so I was hoping it would make others laugh as well. I take no credit for making it.
That makes me wonder......Have we ever gotten to Z?
