1. In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This Cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.

2. What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled when striving cease;
My Comforter, my All in All,
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

3. In Christ alone, who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless Babe;
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.

4. Til on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For every sin on Him was laid,
Here in the death of Christ I live.

5. There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in glorious Day,
Up from the grave He rose again.

6. And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine,
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

7. No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From a life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.

8. No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Could ever pluck me from His hand;
Til He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I stand.

No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Could ever pluck me from His hand;
Til He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I stand.

Til He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I stand.

That got me so excited that I had to share this with everyone. I was almost shouting "Amen" and "Hallelujah" all through the song.

Starting in verse 1. Are we truly in Christ? Is He your hope? Is He your light? Is He your strength? Is He your song? Is He your cornerstone or solid rock that no matter what life or the devil may through at you, you will stand firm in Him and rest in knowing that He has full control of everything that happens to us? If you say "no" to any of the questions, He wants to be.

In verse 2 is the one that says "yes" to all of the questions above. "Oh what heights of love! Oh what the depth of peace. It will calm all of my fears when striving cease. You are my comforter. You are my All in All. I am here in your Love and only in You I stand."

Verse 3 talks about what Christ did so we can raise the name of the Lord in admiration and praise. He took our flesh and gave us the fullness of God to those who are weak and helpless. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." He did not only took our flesh, but He became flesh to become sin so that we would have the righteousness of God in us. However, He was scorned by the ones that He came to save.

Verse 4 is the continuation of verse 3. Jesus died on the cross, our sins are laid on Him. Justice demands a punishment or a sacrifice for the sins that we committed, but He became the sacrifice for all of us if we come believing that He is Lord and He is able to save us from our sins.

Verse 5 starts when Jesus died. It would of seem like Satan won in the end. But in a glorious power of His might, Jesus rose from the dead and defeated sin and death. Not even the powers of Satan can keep Him down. Hallelujah!

In Verse 6, is that our testimony? As Jesus stands in victory, sin's curses has lost its grip on us? We no longer have to be in sin, because if Jesus abides in us, sin gets pushed out. For I am His and He is mine, I am bought with or by the precious blood of Christ. Is that our testimony today?

Verse 7 says that we should not fear, nor regret. This is not our power to stop fears, but it is the power of Christ in us. From the birth to death, Jesus will keep the ones that are faithful to Him.

In Verse 8 talks about not having fear because no power of hell or any man can force or pluck us from the Father's hand. And it should be that way until He returns, or until I depart into death; I will stand here in the power of Christ.

Anyways, I hope that this will inspire you to press on forward. Not giving up hope, but to rely on the power of Christ as you go through trials and temptations. Amen!
