After browsing some I haven't stumbled across any mention of the literary horror? Well, any that is recent and apologies in advance if this is redundant.
What are your favorites? Favorite classics? Recent reads of the sort? Anything of the sorts really.
One of the lost horror books I read was The Monster's Corner. A collection of short stories mainly from the "monsters" point of view. They were a good mixture in my opinion and would recommend.

There's a relatively new (within the last two years or so) book called Feed (by Mira Grant) that I have. Really good read if you like zombies. I also enjoyed Cell by Stephen King. When it comes to literary horror, I love anthologies. Different writers, short stories. Seems to be the best.

That sounds worth checking out. 3nodding Happen to have any other Stephen King or anthology favorites? I haven't read as much Stephen King as I wanted to get around to yet. The Dark Half and Skeleton Crew was excellent though.

Miss Scherzo That sounds worth checking out. 3nodding Happen to have any other Stephen King or anthology favorites? I haven't read as much Stephen King as I wanted to get around to yet. The Dark Half and Skeleton Crew was excellent though. I haven't read too much of his stuff either. The Shining was a snoozefest. Cujo was decent though. I really want to read It. I'll get back to you on anthologies as I've read a few, but '999' was a good one.
