Bodytype: Nathan has a good blend of both his ancestries, taking no more strongly after one than the other. His face is long and narrow, with distinctly Japanese eyes and a more European nose. He is rather short for a man his age with a slender build that is well-toned and has hints of muscle. Hair: Nathan's hair is straight and course, grown in such a way that it hangs just brushing his cheekbones in the front. His hairline is rather uneven, cut shorter in the front and left longer towards the back, and no matter what nothing seems to keep it neat for very long. For the most part it's left to pretty much manage itself, and it isn't uncommon for Nathan to roll out of bed and go through the day only hand-combing it. His hair is naturally black, although it can take on a distinctive dark blue sheen in certain light.
Eyes: His eyes are narrow and slanted in a distinctly Japanese fashion, although their color is anything but Japanese. It isn't really European either - it's hard to tell where he got the bright orange-amber color from. (Hex code: #FDA800)
Fashion: Have you ever read Johnny the Homicidal Maniac? If you have, then an easy comparison can be made between Johnny's fashion sense and Nathan's. It isn't uncommon to see him wearing layers - black t-shirts with logos like question sleep or random patterns over a long sleeved shirt with horizontal stripes, long coats over more simple shirts, black jeans tucked into heavy boots with plenty of seemingly needless buckles. All of these are things you'll often find him wearing, with colors favored being black, dark blues, and bright reds. Accessories are kept to a bare minimum, a ring or two for outfits where his hands would otherwise be bare or sometimes a pair of gloves if he thinks rings wouldn't go too well with the individual outfit. His staple accessory is a collar, although depending on what he's wearing on a given day it could be either red or blue. There is one piece of jewelry that will not change no matter what he wears - a simple ruby stud worn in his right ear.
Demeanor: While Nathan has a very strong, almost domineering personality the simple fact is he loathes most people. More often than not they only wind up ticking him off, so he tends to avoid those who aren't part of his inner circle. He's not introverted so much as he just doesn't enjoy the company of the vast majority of those he meets - he can be perfectly engaging with those he does like. Although these people are often few and far between.
Personality Traits: [+] Far From Fair-Weather - Friendship can be hard-won with Nathan, but once you've managed to work your way onto his good side you're there for life. Whether you need a cover story to explain just where you were last night or an intimidating-looking friend to discourage any untoward behavior, you can be assured he has your back. It doesn't really matter to him exactly what you've gotten yourself into - he takes care of his friends, even if that might involve protecting them from their own stupidity. But as much as he's willing to overlook a little idiocy on the part of his friends, even he has his limits. If a friend threatens anyone he considers family, he won't hesitate to cut ties with them. For him the phrase "blood is thicker than water" rings true, and threatening his family is the quickest way to get him to drop you like a hot iron.
[+] Rein In Your Thoughts - When he puts his mind to things, Nathan is about as focused as you can get. He knows his goals, he knows what he has to do to reach them, and he'll do just about anything to pull out on top. You'd be hard-pressed to distract him once he's set his sights on something, especially when the task at hand is important to either him or someone very close to him. He attacks whatever task he's on with a single-minded focus that most wouldn't think to expect from him, given that he seems distinctly uninterested in most things a majority of the time. But once he sets out to do something, he'll see it through until the very end without losing focus for an instant. And why wouldn't he? He takes pride in being able to stay on task and the results he can get because of that.

[-] Cross Me And I Double Cross You - Words are weapons and there are few who understand that quite like Nathan. His mind is sharp, but his tongue is sharper yet and he doesn't hesitate to use it. Anyone who gets on his bad side he's quick to cut down to size with words that are unflinchingly cruel. He's content with just words to drive people away, but if he felt the need to drive a particular person away from a loved one? There is no doubt that he would resort to vicious emotional and mental attacks to drive his point home. While they may not become physical immediately, the potential for that kind of violence is very much alive and thrumming just beneath the surface. Father: Yuuki Saito
Nathan's 52-year-old father. The two of them have had only minimal contact, given just how much Yuuki's work demands of him and how much he needs to travel for it. Despite this, Nathan has always looked up to his father. While they aren't particularly close, there is an unspoken respect between them. There are times when Nathan wonders if his father really approves of his choice to go into the arts, but the man hasn't spoken ill of the decision which is as close as he thinks he'll get to approval from him.
Mother: Bellona Saito
Nathan's 47-year-old mother, and easily the biggest influence in his life. No one can say she didn't do right by her firstborn - she never lacked in affection for him but always encouraged him to do things on his own. If it weren't for her influence, Nathan could have turned out a lot worse and he knows this. He loves his mother dearly and would do anything she asked of him without question. He looks to her not only as a good mother, but as a strong woman who doesn't take s**t from anyone. Her children included. Siblings:
Younger Sister: Tessa Saito
Nathan's 19-year-old sister, and without a doubt the family vamp. Tessa is more than willing to use sex appeal to manipulate men, and when that doesn't work she'll go right for batting her baby blues and pouting her way into your wallet. She's a manipulator at heart, and knows all the wrong ways to get exactly what she wants. Nathan has had very little to do with her, and has nothing to say of her aside from stating her rather obvious desire to be "Daddy's Little Girl."
Younger Brother: Kenji Saito
The older of Nathan's 16-year-old twin brothers, and the more level-headed of the two. Kenji is the one who often manages to get the two of them out of whatever trouble Kenta got them in. He knows how to talk his way out of tense situations, and is an expert at getting groundings reduced in severity. He'll also be the first one to tell his younger twin that something is a bad idea, only to wind up going along with it anyway to make sure the more brash Kenta doesn't get himself hurt.
Younger Brother: Kenta Saito
The younger of Nathan's 16-year-old twin brothers, Kenta is the exact opposite of his twin. He thinks too quick for his own good, and is known to get himself into trouble often. He's always on the lookout for some big adventure, and always seems to bite off more than he can chew. If it weren't for Kenji, he'd likely get himself in a lot more trouble - and a lot more danger - than he already does on his own. Something hard to imagine, given that he already finds himself caught in the middle of plenty of both.
Younger Brother: David Saito
The 14-year-old youngest of his brothers, and quite possibly the closest the family has to a problem child. David has always taken their father's distance hard, and is prone to acting out in attempts to get his attention - be it positive or negative. Thus far he hasn't done anything that warranted more than a slap on the wrist, although Nathan will be the first to admit that his cries for attention will escalate before they get better. He's extremely distanced from David, even more so than the rest of his older siblings.
Younger Half-Sister: Eleanor Saito
Nathan's 10-year-old half-sister, and easily the sibling he is the closest to. She was born from an affair his mother had with his father's twin, although no one outside the family knows this. Ellie is the undeniable baby of the family, and is often of the receiving end of a fair bit of spoiling from her mother, biological father, and oldest brother. Nathan adores his baby sister and would undoubtedly do anything to defend her. In fact, every bully in her school has likely heard about Ellie's very scary looking big brother. Extended Family:
Uncle: Tatsu Saito
His father's twin is worth mentioning simply because of how involved he is with the family - it's no secret amongst them that Bellona has had multiple affairs with him. Tatsu was always a more solid presence in Nathan's life than his father, and it wasn't uncommon for him to stay with the family under the guise of watching over them when his brother was away. Nathan has a very close bond with his uncle - one formed over similar experiences in their youth. He trusts his uncle to always look out for his best interests, and regards him as a second father.

While not technically family, Nathan considers Moricorm close enough to be family. She is his dearest friend, his lady love, and at times his biggest rival. Anyone looking in from the outside likely wouldn't understand how their relationship works - swinging between sickening sweetness and borderline violence rather fluidly - but its the way they've worked ever since they can remember. Nathan isn't particularly inclined to change it either, as he very dearly loves the way Ri challenges him and how she is the only one who's ever managed to put him in his place. Job: Nathan's father works as the Executive Vice President for a software design company based in Celeste City. His work takes him all over the country, and it's rare for him to be home for more than a week at a time. The only advantage to this is the fact that he is extremely well paid, and he's made his small fortune readily available to his children and wife. In fact, you might be surprised to know just how much he makes given that his wife works as a martial arts teacher at a local dojo. She's taught her skills to many of her children, and encourages them to take on jobs of their own once they're old enough. Something that only Nathan has really done thus far, in his own way.
Home: Nathan has the good fortune of living in the condo right across from Moricorm, and their places are structurally identical. Three bedrooms (one of which Nathan has altered to serve as his studio) and two bathrooms, and other tenants who just can't seem to wrap their minds around the odd not-quite couple. The location suits him just fine since he's much more interested in its proximity to his lady love than anything else, and he takes care of most of the upkeep himself. For the most part his condo is furnished rather simply; the decor is modern but offset by the occasional industrial piece. The only two rooms that feel distinctly personal are his bedroom and studio.
Family Life: Nathan has always been fairly apathetic towards the rest of his siblings, and was undeniably closest to his mother and uncle. He's never resented the distance that characterizes his relationship with his father, nor has he ever blamed him for not having as much time for his family as other fathers might. For the most part, his family life has been characterized by a silent acceptance that this is the way things are, at least for Nathan.

Weapon: A pair of Hook Swords.
Ability: Jet's ability is, plain and simple, that of electricity. Any weapon held in his hand has the potential to become electrically charged, with the charge itself lasting as long as two minutes at a time depending on strength. While the effect is instantaneous, he can create a stronger charge by focusing with the general rule being the stronger the charge, the shorter it will last. His most powerful charge lasts only a brief thirty seconds. Even at its most extreme severity, the charge is relatively mild and its effects range from mild tingling to inciting numbness and mild muscle spasms at the sight his weapon contacts. The ability does no actual damage, and the charge is useless if Jet's weapon doesn't make contact or is used on an enemy immune to electricity-based attacks.

Information/FAQRandom Trivia! Nathan suffers from recurring bouts of insomnia, something he has never actually gotten any form of treatment for. Depending on his stress levels, he can lose days of sleep at a time or have a relatively normal sleep cycle. Typically when in the middle of one of his self-titled "Sleep Is For The Weak" phases, he'll take melatonin in an attempt to help alleviate the symptoms. This is normally met with limited success - the longer the phase lasts, the less effective it becomes.
