Quote:
WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?
WHY DO WE BELIEVE IT?
HOW DO WE SHOW OTHERS WHAT WE BELIEVE?
The very word "Christian" denotes that we follow Jesus Christ.
We are to be mirror images of who Christ is.
We are called to become disciples, which simply means that we learn all that Christ taught His early disciples, and share those teachings with all around us.
Why would we do that?
When you read God's word, the answer is pretty simple.
God the Father, Jesus the only begotten son of God, and the Holy Ghost rightfully expect us to follow Him, lead others and desciple them.
Why do we believe in Jesus Christ as Lord, savior, teacher, and as the example of all we should strive to emulate?
The sad truth is, many people who call themselves Christians, simply don't believe.
Or on the other hand, if they do believe, they certainly don't look, talk, and act like Jesus.
The Apostle Paul reminds us in Second Timothy 3:5, there are those who have a form of godliness, but deny the power thereof.
This, sadly, is an affliction that has made many congregations across the world empty, ineffective, and unable to recieve the blessings that God pours out on His obedient followers.
Being an obedient servant of Christ is a challenge, for sure, but it is also rewarding, joyous, fullfilling and FUN.
If any of us are not enjoying ourselves in the service of Christ; If any of us are not having fun during our Christian walk; If any of us are not receiving manifold blessings from the God of all creation, perhaps we need to seek God's will and purpose in our lives.
God's word reveals His mindset for us.
The scriptures help us look at ourselves the way God looks at us.
The Holy Bible is the owner's manual that helps us to more effectively talk the talk and lights up the path for us to walk.
How do we show others that we truely believe Christ and follow Him?
Here comes the shocker.
We simply let go of the things that hinder our service, and begin to serve Christ by reaching out to others, and we do it one day at a time and one step at a time.
When we need help in finding our calling, we simply need to get close to those who are already reaching out to the woman at the well, the homeless family down the street, the spiritually sick, lame and blind.
Ask those who are doers of the word, to share their faith and experiences.
You have questions? God has the answers!
James 1:5 shouts out the promise of the Holy Spirit.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God ( and those who faithfully serve Him ) that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.
Jesus, and His disciples will never fail to share their faith and knowledge with those who are looking for assurance, power and the joy of salvation.
May God bless you all.

This was done by one of my best friends. Well, one of my other best friends. My first best friend is Christ. One of my first best earth friends is the one who wrote this sermon. God has chosen him, among others, to help me with my discipleship. Well, not mine. God's. Lol I think he should preach. He'd be very good at it.
