ok so about a year ago i was taking a psych class and we started a movie but it was an optional thing so no one was paying attention and was talking so it was difficult to hear. however i really want to find it or at least the tital!!
we only saw the begining if you recognize it please tell me what the tital is it's been driving me insane and i can't find it no matter how many lists of asylum movies i look through!
a man (detective of sorts?) is taken to an island. the only thing on the island is an asylum (patients and staff) very high security. one of the patients (a woman) has gone missing. she some how managed to escape her cell and get past security. she is concidered very dangerous and needs to be found. at one point they are looking for her at an old, abandoned light house.
the asylum itself seems kind of sketchy. a staff member breifing the man is telling him how they try to do the best for the patients. as they walk past a garden/grassy aria, there are a few patients milling about and an old woman puts her finger to her lips while the staff member is not looking
i don't know if that's even enough to go by. sorry about that. i fugured if anyone would know i might find them here.

That sort of sounds like Shutter Island. (Just from what you described I've not seen the movie just the previews >.<)
