On 17 April 2012, The Red-Tailed Hawk I know, it's been ages since I last sent one of these rusty things out. I also know it's been forever since I've been around- and I'm so sorry! I will do my best to do better! emotion_facepalm I'm sending out this announcement though, as a calling to arms if you would. We have 166 members in the guild, but a good 90+% of us are hardly active within the guild. Honestly, it isn't much of a hangout when it's only four people chatting with each other. sweatdrop So! I'd like to spiff things up around here. Get the guild up and running and active again (this includes really getting the S.O.S. Contest going.) and to do this, I've started a thread in the main forum of the guild. I'm looking for new, active crew members, and a new Vice Captain! We'll also be setting up an Event Committee, which will be in charge of planning events within the guild (contests and such) and planning our involvement with Gaia's events. Note: This is important! Please contribute to this thread if you have any suggestions you'd like to make for the guild! We will be tackling the issue of member recruitment after we get the Event Committee set up and the number active members within the guild starts to rise. 20 April 2012, The Red-Tailed Hawk ~Round 2 is closed, but the TekTek Contest came to a tie between two entries!! A tie-breaking vote will be held until the end of April, so please let your voice be heard and vote!!
~Please be sure to check the Common Room for the announcement thread asking for your attention. It's important. I'm looking for a new Vice Captain and crew members!
~The Guild mule has been revamped. Please remember to send your donations to the guild mule: -FOS- Miss Stitch
-FOS- Miss Stitch will serve as the keeper of prizes for contests, and an informational account for the guild.

On 22 April 2012, The Red-Tailed Hawk Just sending out another reminder about a few things: 1. I'm trying to get this place running active again. We've got 165 members (We've lost one since yesterday, apparently), but only a select few of us are really active in the guild. I'd like all of our members to start coming around some more. The last thing I want to have to do is purge the inactives. emotion_0A0 2. As a reminder, there is a tiebreaker vote being held for the S.O.S. TekTek contest at the moment. The poll will be open until April 30th, 2012. Please vote! 3. On May 17th, 2012, The Red-Tailed Hawk I'm sorry for not being around much guys. Life has been busy and has been throwing some really, unpleasant and nasty curve balls at me. I have been busy moving, rather getting ready to move, and I haven't had much time for Gaia lately. Additionally, I have just found out today that a close friend of mine has been diagnosed with an early onset of stomach cancer. If you pray, I would ask that you please pray for my friend here on Gaia, Takumi. He is having surgery tomorrow to remove the part of his stomach that is cancerous, and will be undergoing the many trials that will follow after that. That being said, I am appointing BAI ( AKA- Battery Acid Included) as Vice Captain of the guild to continue with setting up the Event Committee, cleaning up the forum, and getting the S.O.S Contest running again. I will be here to help out, but know that my presence will be spotted at best for at least the rest of the month.

On May 19th, 2012, The Red-Tailed Hawk First things first: To those of you who offered your support for my friend Takumi, thank you! His surgery was a success, and he'll be recovering in the hospital for the next few weeks. Your support is greatly appreciated. heart Now! Onto the updates! 1. The S.O.S. Contest Rules have been updated!! It is very important that you take a good look at them, as major changes have been made. 2. BAI has been busy moving the old threads and setting up the Event Committee. Archived threads can be found locked up in the Freezer. If you have a thread you would like moved, please inform BAI or myself. 3. The Tactics sub-forum is pending renovation. As of now it will reman the tactics forum for our involvement in Gaia's official events (official affiliations of the guild and such), and the place were recruitment ideas will be posted. 4. Planning for further rounds of the S.O.S. contest will begin shortly. I need the owner of Stein's Pet Mule to contact BAI and myself with the amount of gold and a list of prizes present on the account.

On May 23rd, 2012, The Red-Tailed Hawk I don't want to leave you guys in the dark, so here are a few updates to let you know we (the crew) are still around! 1. I'd like to welcome (and forgive the tardiness) a few new members to our Crew panel. These Feeders are our new Event Committee Chairmen! Welcome aboard Hyunah, NatsumenoKage, ArsenicAshely, and Magnificent Moombeam! 2. The planning for Round 3 and 4 of the S.O.S. Contest is underway! So far, this lineup of events is looking pretty amazing! I'm sure you guys are gonna love it! 3. The Uniform Ideas thread has been updated to show off all current submissions in the first post! So far we have 23 variations to look at and consider. If you have any last minute ideas you'd like to submit, please do so before the 31st of this month! On May 24th, 2012, The Red-Tailed Hawk Updates are coming! 1. Round 3 of the S.O.S. Contest will start on June 1st! We'll be having three contests running this Round! Hints: One starts with the letter T, another starts with S, and the last one starts with a B! If you haven't read the new and updated rules for the contest, you need to do that as soon as possible~ 2. Uniform suggestions are to be submitted to the Uniform Idea thread by the 31st of this month! Voting on a uniform to wear during events (regulations on this will be fleshed out once a uniform has been decided, but don't worry, they're not going to be harsh!) will begin on June 1st and will last until June 20th. 3. The Tactics thread will be revamped into our CrosStitch forum. There we will have contests in the future to decide on an FOS Sponsored entry into Stein's design contests! We will also have CrosStitch themed TekTek contests from time to time. In essence, the Tactics forum will be turned into our version of Gaia's Dressing Room. On May 25th, 2012, The Red-Tailed Hawk As I'm sure you are all aware by now - and if you aren't, you will be after this announcement - Edmund's shop has been destroyed by Don Kuro. An explanation can be seen in the Manga updates, and the rubble can be seen in Durem. There is nothing left of Edmund's shop, though you can claim a pair of singed heart boxers. I have a strong feeling this may lead into the summer event, so I suggest strapping yourselves in, these Olympics may be a very rough ride. Now for a quick update: the S.O.S contest round 4 is being planned out, and we'll be starting the basic brainstorm/planning for our summer event here soon, so stay tuned! As a reminder, Round 3 will start June 1st and all Uniform concepts must be submitted to the Uniform Idea thread by the 31st.

On May 27th, 2012, The Red-Tailed Hawk We're starting to crack down on member activeness. It isn't fun and I don't like to haveing to do this, but it costs the guild money with sending out these announcements to people who 1) ignore them, and 2) no longer wish to participate within the guild. I'm sending out this announcement as a heads up to those of you who haven't posted recently (like, within the past month and a half). I know that school time is busy, and that a lot of people are going to be out and about Gaia again once summer starts for everyone, and as such only the people who haven't posted at all have been notified and/or removed at this point. But the crew and I will be notifying others come the start of June. We want people to be involved and active members of FOS, we want a lot of people participating in our contests and our forums, and out and about Gaia spreading the word about us around. We can't have as much fun with a guild this size when only a select few of us are participating. I'd love to see this place hopping again. I'd love to see new members, but in order to get the newer members we need a good portion the older members to be active, otherwise the guild just looks dead- and no one joins a dead guild.

On May 31st, The Red-Tailed Hawk Hiya Feeders!! Hope you've had a good day so far! There are are a few things to go over quick and then you can be on your merry way~ 1. S.O.S Round 3 Starts tomorrow!!! We'll be having three contests! A Tektek Lv3 challenge, A Scavenger Hunt Lv1 challenge, and a Bump Contest Lv1 challenge. The themes will be posted tonight, but the threads will be opened tomorrow morning! I'd like to remind you guys that to qualify for the final round of S.O.S and a chance to win an SD+ Stein doll, you have to win one of the lesser rounds first! 2. Uniform Voting starts today! It will be broken down into two halves, male and female. Voting will end on June 20th, so be sure you check back daily because the polls will change to include all the avatars submitted! 3. The Planning thread for our Birthday Bash coming up on July 7th is up! Please get involved and pitch in! We need ideas for mini-contests and we'd love for someone to be able to draw us a massive cake!

On June 1st, The Red-Tailed Hawk That's right! IT starts today, and all contests are up and open for entries! We have a TekTek (Lv3) up, a Bump Contest, and a Scavenger Hunt that are both level 1 challenges (meaning they are easy!). Head on over to the S.O.S. Sub-forum and check them out, because the entry period for the TekTek contest ends on the 9th!

On June 4th, 2012, The Red-Tailed Hawk This is just a friendly reminder, Feeders, that S.O.S Round 3 is happening right now! And as a part of this reminder, I'd like to say that you only have until the 9th to get your TekTek entries in! Rumor has it that something's amiss on the beach! D: Additionally, no one has entered the Scavenger Hunt, we'd love to see some early entries! In closing, all contests will end on the 20th of this month! So there are some surprises in store for the TekTek contest, get involved to find out what they'll be! biggrin
