So, yesterday I went to my local pet store, they had some new female bettas. Their sorority was REALLY aggressive, all the girls had torn and ripped fins. One of them didn't even have much fins left, just little stubs. I felt bad and bought a girl from it, she wasn't in that rough of shape. Her fins are pretty badly shredded though, and she has some swollen, lightish spot on her mouth, I can't really explain it and couldn't get any pictures of it. But she can open and close her mouth fine. But here's some pictures of her fins, I was giving her a salt bath while I took them so disregard the oxygen bubbles lol









Does anybody know if fin rot has set in, or white that spot on her lip could be?

from the pictures it looks like it could just be a wound thats healing

Hopefully it's not this sense she shares a tank with 4 other girls and a male betta gonk Having the slightest chance of losing them all frightens me.

It hasn't since spread or faded. She's a little less active than the rest of my girls, but her find are shredded too so that could be a reason for inactivity. I'm crossing my fingers hoping that it's just an injury healing sad

Yeah, if it were a fungus, it would have been a matter days before she was at deaths door. Thats good that she's feeler better, and that it was just a little boo-boo smile
