Discussion. Reason. Fellowship. Without the brawling. lol
Ok... Yeah, it happens a lot here. And elsewhere. You know what I'm saying. So many different people, with so many different backgrounds. And so much extra baggage with it. Hard to reason out the Word sometimes. But we'll give it a shot.

Simple rules - Love thy neighbor, as you would love yourself. Now, not asking you to hug each other, and get all mushy (I might lose my lunch). But we can accept that we each have a different opinion, and that we may not agree. After all, Yahweh/God gives us all bits and pieces as He thinks we can handle them. And not everybody has the same pieces. Right? Never mind the fact that, hey, none of us are perfect (save for Yahushua/Christ. See Romans 3:10-11). In that, look at all fo what is presented, and think about putting some thought into it. Ask questions. Post a scripture for back up. Trust in Yah to give you guidance. If you post something that's not scriptural, just give a link or something to back it up. Let us know where you're coming from. Be careful of wording. If you don't like, or don't understand some one else's, ASK. Nobody should feel like they're under fire here. A sense of humor is acceptable, and encouraged. Just please know (and I have a hard time with this one) that dry whit isn't always as appreciated as it could be... but please don't take it to heart.
Trolls, however... hmmm... yeah, I might PM you first, if I'm of a mind. But there is a possibility that you could get bounced. I won't deny that. Still working on the patience thing. But stand up for what you believe in. Guard His Word. There may come a time that you would have to defend your faith a little more than some silly website.
Ok, let's break it down a little...
All weapons and attitudes are checked at the door. The main thread is only for enlightening discussion. Banter is ok, if kept to a minimum, and returns to the topic at hand. All brawls will be thrown out into the alley (you can use a PM, or... IGNORE! What a novel idea...). And please refer to the Rules section in the main forum for more details. But I really think you all know how to behave. I mean, really.
Now, I'll mostly be using the King James version to quote from, if I can remember to do so. For consistency's sake. But use what you will. It might add something to the discussion, what with all of the problems of different or poor interpretation of many versions. Just PLEASE say what version you're using when quoting.
Shall we begin? Good. Like I said, give it some thought. And post what YOU feel Yah is telling you, through discernment. This is and exercise in actually LOOKING at the scriptures, not just relying on what people tell you.
Got all of your armor? (Ephesians 6:10-20) =)
May the Holy Spirit be in this discussion thread, and with you all. Yahweh bless, and I pray for His guidance and mercy.

Quote:
Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
[19:48:23] Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Now. There's a word or two that you don't understand? Another version, maybe. Or... there's a concordance (reference) in the back of most Bibles. Strong's? Fausset's maybe. There are many. And plenty online. Or PM. That'll do. But read what's given, and sometimes look at the whole chapter to get the context (that's best). Post cross references, if you have them. Sometimes that helps. =)
