Hello everyone! I'm binaryfaerie, I'm 25 years old, and I love experimenting with all different kinds of art. I really can't make up my mind what I like best, so I'm always buying new materials and tools to play around with. Craft stores are a dangerous place for me to be. yum_puddi
When I was younger I did a lot of drawing and painting. More recently I've tried beading, chainmaille, and polymer clay. My latest interests are bookmaking, papermaking, and art journaling, so I'm on the lookout for new supplies and ways to utilize some of the many things I already have.

Do you ever make books with the paper you've made then use it for an art journal? I've seen art journals using old decks of playing cards that really interest me. Have you ever done something like that?
And now I just want to pick your brain on what you craft. whee It sounds very neat and I'd love to learn. Hi, I'm Milk. I mostly focus on yarn crafts. I feel odd just jumping into your introduction and not saying a little bit about me. sweatdrop

I started making a book but I don't have the tools to make the binding so I haven't finished it yet. I would love to make my own art journal sometime but I just don't have the supplies for it yet and probably won't for a while. I was at the craft store earlier looking at all this neat stuff I want to try, but I didn't have any coupons so I didn't buy anything. Tomorrow I'm going to head back and pick out a few things to experiment with and to find the perfect journal to start art-ifying. cat_biggrin So yeah, I'm just starting out with some of this stuff, but I'll try to post my progress along the way!

Oooh. Nifty. What sort of binding are you doing?

I'm doing a stab binding and I don't have an awl to stab with! Haha. Here's a photo of what I have so far. The cover is just scrapbooking paper that I've had around for a while. I wanted to do a hardcover but had no paste so I just made do with what I did have. Today was AC Moore day, but tomorrow will be Michael's day (well, probably both, actually) and I will have coupons this time. cat_whee

That's really pretty. I can't wait to see the finished product. Is the paper lined or unlined?

The inside paper is plain printer paper. This project is probably on hold for a while because I need to order an awl online and I haven't gotten around to it yet. I need to save money, especially after the little shopping spree I had yesterday getting all the stuff for my art journal. biggrin
