I used to be spirit filled more often and I just want to start that again. I want all of God! I want to be closer to God than anything. Do you have any idea on how I can become more close to God?

Do you have any idea on how I can become more close to God? Hi! Other than fully surrendering to the Lord, heart, soul, mind and body. You can always get more involved with your church in the choir, teaching a Bible study class or a Sunday school class, get involved with the church's youth programs more or even the church's community visitation program. Start small by spending more time reading your Bible and prayer. There really is no short cut. It takes time and commitment. Make sure your church is solid and grounded in the Word with their teachings.
Don't just read but study. Pick a subject and research it in the word. That way you gain knowledge and wisdom so that you will not be lead astray.
Ask questions from people who farther in their walk, a mentor.

This is well. To know with all of your heart and soul and mind and body that you are truly saved and with that a burning desire to do nothing more in life than to serve the Lord your God with all that is within you to do.
I know the this feeling, and about the wanting to be closer to the Lord and to have the type of walk and relationship with Him that so many other saints before me have had.
But as Jesus said, "I did not come here to be served, but rather to serve"
so then must we as Christians go out and be ready to do whatever the Holy Spirit requires us to do.
It could be helping out at a local food bank, or blood drive, or just walking over to a neighbor who is working out in the heat and giving them a cold bottle of water.
Jesus did one on one things like that.
Search your Bible and you will find accounts of Christ Jesus helping people one on one and bringing the gospel to them.
I do believe that is what He meant when He told the scribes and the pharises about 'hang all of the laws and those who wrote them on this: Love God with all of your heart, souls, minds and bodies; and to love one another as the Lord God has loved you'.
I think that if we are doing what the Holy Bible (God's Word and the final word on everything in my life.) has instructed us to do, and the devil is attacking us on all sides, then we must be doing what we are suppose to be doing per our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
