Greetings to all, in the blessed name of Jesus!
It's great to get excited about Jesus!
In fact, we should always be excited about Jesus and all that He has done in our lives.
What we should never do is let our feelings of excitement and zeal replace the basis of those feelings.
The simple FACT is that God is real!
He is God the father, Jesus the son, and the Holy Spirit; three distinct parts of the one living God.
Let us take a look at God's Word.
Reading from the book of John 1:1-3, we see this. ^-In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him, and without him was not any thing made that wasn't made.
God in three persons, is now, always was, and ever shall be.
Before God literally spoke the universe into existance, the Father (God), Jesus (His only Son) and God's Holy Spirit were alive and working to create you and me in His likeness and image.
Not a physical likeness or image, but as body, mind, and spirit.
Three parts of one body we call man (we can't leave out woman either).
Don't think so?
Look at what Moses penned in Genesis 1:1-2.
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
How can we believe such facts?
How can we not dismiss these facts as fables and myths?
We simply excercise the FAITH that God has given each of us.
The apositle Paul explains this thing called faith in the book of Ephesians 2:8-10.
Let us look at the scriptures.
Eph.2:8-10. - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
It follows then that we believe the FACT that God created everything out of nothing and that He sent Jesus, His Son, to offer himself as a sacrifice for our sins, yours and mine, and we do so by FAITH which is also a gift of His Grace. We then should get excited and use that excitement or FEELING of joy and assurance and share with others how God has changed our lives.
The very best way to witness is to tell others about your personal meeting with Jesus at the foot of Calvary.
May God lead each one of us on a path that touches the life of the lost, the hurting and the hopeless. May we all be obediant to His voice calling us to serve Him.
Your brother in Christ,
