1. digital voice recorder, digital camera, 35mm camera, phone, emf reader, video camera, extra batteries, notebook and pen or pencil to take notes.

4. be kind and respectful, always remember give respect to get respect, let them know your just wanting to talk not get rid of them or harm them in anyway, explain everything you do to them, for example " this device in my hand is called a digital voice recorder if you talk into it right by this red light when I play it back I will be able to hear your voice and answer you back" or " this other device sitting in the middle of the room is called a emf reader if you step close enough to it , it will beep and let me know your here its loud so don't let it alarm you" ghosts are not dumb they can hear you and understand you like any other English speaking person im in the process of learning more Spanish then ill move to german and other forms of language to communicate with other ghosts. now if you wanna see something really cool make sure your in a well built establishment that is haunted for sure and take baby powder a penny and a black sheet of paper ( white paper, pencil, penny) sprinkle baby powder on paper and make room for penny and make sure you push it onto edges of penny so under penny is perfect circle no gaps ( put penny on paper and draw around penny) go about your business and when your done with your investigation check on it see if it moved
smile make sure you say it loud enough all ghosts can here you though otherwise they may not realize what your doing. keep in mind not all ghosts are up to date with technology or even ghost hunting so you have to speak as though your talking to your great great grandpa about your cell phone.
