ᴄᴜʀʀᴇɴᴛ ᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛs: First meeting with Martian Manhunter and I'm making a fool of myself. ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ: Manor Foyer sᴛᴀᴛᴜs: Healing shoulder, otherwise healthy ᴏᴏᴄ:
Tony didn't particularly like being put on hold, and played with the idea of hacking into Jonathan's phone as mild payback for such action. However, he didn't particularly want to start their partnership off by hacking into Green Arrow's phone. So he waited patiently for him to return and finish their conversation.
After he got off the phone with Jonathan, he leaned forward in his seat and brought up Martian Manhunter's profile. He didn't know as much about the martian as he would have liked, so perhaps he could learn more about the man today.
It was a week since the attempted Reign of Fear, and only three days after the event took place, a rather startling revelation came to light. Unbeknownst to Tony, Bruce Wayne had left everything he owned to him. He owned the entirety of Wayne Enterprises, Wayne Manor, and Bruce Wayne's entire fortune, and he had owned all of this since Bruce Wayne vanished. The reason he hadn't been told of it before was, apparently, he wasn't to be told until he was 'ready', whatever that meant.
That had been four days ago, and he was still processing it. He had slowly been moving his possessions from his apartment to the manor, but the idea of claiming the Wayne Manor as his felt strange to him. After he'd found the cave, the only time he spent in the Manor was what was needed to get to the cave. He never say the Manor as his, and certainly didn't want to change anything there. It wasn't his place to mess up. Or so he'd thought.
This made things easier for him. For one, it would be easier to access the cave when he was living in the building it was hiding under, which meant faster reaction times. For another, he had plenty of money now to be able to make new gadgets and weapons. Of course, there were downsides too. For instance, he now owned a home that was far bigger than he liked, as well as more money than he knew what to do with. He'd searched the entire place when looking for the cave years ago, so he knew exactly how big it was, and how empty it was. Nobody was there except for him. Perhaps he could change that at some point along the way. It would have to be someone he could trust to not go snooping around. This could all be settled later, though. It wasn't important right now.
He was expecting the Martian Manhunter. He switched the cameras to the ones outside Wayne Manor, waiting for him to show. He knew most of the forms that the Martian Manhunter used(though that was incredibly hard information to gather, and took a lot of time and staring at cameras and video feeds. He was sure some of the pictures he had on record weren't even the Martian Manhunter), so as soon as he showed up, Batman was moving. He grabbed a handheld device that could easily pass for a phone, and made his way up the stairs and into the manor. He didn't know who Jonathan told Martian Manhunter to expect, but considering the state of the visit, he could only assume he had said he was meeting Batman. Therefore, there would be no need to change.
He made it to the Foyer in time to hear the knock on the door. He stepped up to the door and opened it, waving the man inside and closing the door immediately behind him. He was sure that no one else was out there, but on the small chance that there was, he didn't want to risk anyone spotting Batman answering the door."I don't know how much Jonathan told you, but I can fill you in on anything he didn't,"he said. He quickly glanced over the man, committing the form to memory. He had a picture of this form on record, but seeing it in person was different than a picture."You can use whatever form you feel most comfortable in,"he stated. There was no one here but them two, and the martian didn't have to worry about prying eyes or anyone calling out his less than human nature. At that moment, he realized he'd skipped the entire first meeting pleasantry conversation. He was glad his mask hid his somewhat embarrassed expression."Uh, sorry. I'm Batman. Pleasure to meet you."He held a hand out for a handshake, immediately regretting the action and hoping it didn't seem weird, but not withdrawing his hand.

He's kinda awkward when he's not fighting or on the phone.
Abdi entered in, smiling pleasantly at the current incarnation of the Caped Crusader. He shook the man's hand, taking it with a slight chuckle at the man's obvious awkwardness."I am Abdi, Son of Mars. You may know my predecessor, J'onn J'onnz. It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Batman."Abdi strode in, standing tall and proud in the foyer, a good head above the other man. Noticing his counterpart's suggestion, Abdi shifted into his more natural form, taking on his Martian appearance."If this form disgusts or offends you, I can always switch a kind old Caucasian man, that usually doesn't frighten anyone."He said, his voice about a quarter of an octave higher, a fair, melodic sound as opposed to his human form's scratchy, gruff voice.
"Shall we get down to business, then, as your kind love to say?"Abdi asked, folding his hands behind his back and watching the current Batman. He peered over him, judging by his stance, the way he held himself, his voice, word choice, gait, and fluidity of movement. He seemed rather trained, as evidenced by the ease of motion and the balanced, ready stance. Briefly, his eyes flitted over the man's vitals, switching through 5 of the 6 extra forms of vision he had. After all, it wouldn't do to send a heat blast to his chest, as funny as it might have been. All in all, he seemed healthy, though the structure of one shoulder seemed to be in disrepair, albeit healing.

Abdi. Easy enough of a name to remember. Martian Manhunter was a bit of a mouthful, Abdi was easier to say. He watched the martian shift into his natural form and felt a brief moment of relief that Abdi didn't feel like he couldn't trust him. Surely showing a form that most people were, apparently, frightened of had to mean some level of trust, right? Even if it was a little bit? Or maybe it wasn't as big of a deal for the martian as Tony thought it was. He shook his head at Abdi's words."It does neither. I would rather you be comfortable, and as long as you're comfortable, I'm happy."It was different seeing the martian in his natural form. Different, but not bad. He certainly didn't mind it, as the martian thought he might.
He nodded at the suggestion. Down to business. He was Batman, and Batman had things to do. They got pleasantries out of the way. Anything beyond that was meant for out-of-suit situations. He lifted the device he'd brought up with him and brought up the file he had on Alan Cypher."I need your help locating this man. Jonathan thinks that if I can find him, he can help me find Zatanna."As he spoke, he held up the device to show it to Abdi."Apparently he needs something supernatural to get his attention. Jonathan said he'd find me in such situation."Hopefully Abdi knew more about the guy and how to get his attention than Jonathan told Tony.
The Martian nodded, mulling it over in agreement. "Well, I'm not really a master of the supernatural or anything, but I can attempt to speak to him, if need be."Abdi briefly backed up, away from Anthony, bringing up a hand to warn him to get no closer. Any movement might break his concentration. He sat down, crouched in a comfortable position, and simply expanded his consciousness, reaching out as far as he could. While the original Manhunter could easily connect the entire planet in a mental web, years of combat and a near-coma like state had hindered his long-distance capabilities. He was probably more powerful with the direct mental attacks than J'onn had been, but he couldn't reach out so far as easily as J'onn could.
A few minutes past his first tentative expansion, Abdi remained seated, a bead of sweat rolling down his entirely blank, emotionless face. Hopefully the man had received at least a gentle prodding, more a slight compulsion than anything.

When Abdi backed up and lifted a hand, Tony got the message. He needed concentration. Tony pulled the mini-computer back and watched the screen, silently working on it while he waited. The only part of him that moved was his finger as he worked. His eyes flicked up under his mask from time to time to check on Abdi, but never said anything, just waiting. He knew plenty about needing concentration, and he didn't have super powers to need the focus on. He was going to be needing more multi-tasking skills, having been made CEO of Wayne Enterprises. He'd never thought he was going to own the business, and he still wasn't sure he was up for it, but what other choice did he have? Assistants would be helpful for him. He made a mental note to hold interviews for potential assistants.
Found him. Externally, Abdi was as calm as ever, his face devoid of any and all expression, the green skin stretched smoothly over his face lacking any wrinkles. Internally, he was scoffing."What a wonderful way to introduce oneself. Normally, I would ask you try, simply so I could crush your mind and beat your brainless physical being into atomic dust, but my associate needs you. I will be linking him now." Abdi rose, his eyes opening. They were shining a clear white color, a nice little signal for what was occurring."Batman, for you."Abdi put his hand on Batman's shoulder, establishing a mental connection so the two could speak.
Tony continued his work until Abdi stood. He was about to ask for the news, when Abdi stepped forward and put a hand on his shoulder. Tony barely had a chance to clear his mind of all thoughts before he felt his mind linking with Abdi's and one other. A wave of nausea passed over him and it took all his control not to lose his lunch right there. He had been expecting Abdi to call the man here, not connect their minds together. It took him a moment to organize his thoughts and explain himself."I need your assistance to locate our new Zatanna. I was told you were the best person to find her."If he could get Alan to agree to help, they could set up a time to meet together. If not, well, he would need to find a plan b.
Tony wasn't all too surprised that Cypher had pulled his name from his thoughts, but that didn't mean he liked it. He would need to learn how to put up mental shields around his thoughts so he didn't have to worry about giving everything away when he linked minds with someone. Assuming that was even possible, of course."I didn't have the time to search for phone numbers, so Jonathan sent a friend to help me find you."Sure, he could have looked into them and found their numbers, but it would take days and Tony didn't have that kind of time.
He considered the offer Alan gave. He didn't know if he trusted this man enough to deliver this message. All he knew about the man was what he found on the cameras and what Jonathan told him, which altogether, wasn't that much."You can tell her that I'm looking for her,"he said."And tell her to meet me at Wayne Enterprises if she can."Just because Alan now knew who he was didn't mean Vera had to. He didn't plan a mind link with Vera. Then again, he hadn't planned a mind link with Alan either.

"I'm not my predecessor..."
Abdi looked expectantly at Anthony, waiting for a reply from the man. He had established the link, and simply backed out of it, allowing the two to speak. Privacy was incredibly important when it came to mental conversations, and Abdi really didn't want to intrude in on their little chat. "Well,"he began."How did it go?"
ᴄᴜʀʀᴇɴᴛ ᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛs: Great. Another superhuman at Wayne Manor. ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ: Wayne Manor Foyer sᴛᴀᴛᴜs: Healing shoulder, otherwise healthy ᴏᴏᴄ:
Tony could feel when Alan backed out of the conversation, and grew frustrated. Why offer to pass along a message in the first place, if he was just going to say he had no reason to? If he didn't deliver messages for free, he shouldn't offer to do so. All of that aside, Tony wasn't that thrilled that Alan Cypher was going to show up here at the Manor. Martian Manhunter was already here. Superhumans gathering in one place was bound to be noticed, and he certainly didn't want to be noticed.
When he heard Abdi's voice, he opened his eyes under his mask and looked at him."He cut off the connection. He's coming here."Alan wanted to know why he wanted to find Vera, but Tony still wasn't sure he could trust him with the reasoning. He didn't know enough about him to judge whether he was trustworthy."You wouldn't happen to know anything about him, would you? Any proof about whether I could or couldn't trust him?"He needed to figure out what he was going to say to him about this.

Alan Cypher
The pulled up to the manor and Alan couldn't help but be impressed. The place was massive, over the top, and had the macabre feel of a haunted house. It completely intrigued him, he was curious how the new batman was able to gain such an estate so easily even if it was pretty much all handed to him.
Getting out of the cab Alan paid the fare before giving the driver a wave as he walked up to the mansion. A normal man might have knocked or rang the door bell. Not Alan he just waved his hand and walked right on in. He wanted to bring this conversation face to. It took him a few moments to divine where they were but after that it was obvious and he entered the foyer where the two heroes were conversing. "Ok now let's do this on equal footing shall we. Why the hell are you contacting me and don't say it cuz you want to find the next Zatanna. You could have easily found her without my assistance."

ᴄᴜʀʀᴇɴᴛ ᴛʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛs: I think I would rather work alone, if this is the alternative. ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ: Wayne Manor Foyer sᴛᴀᴛᴜs: Healing shoulder, otherwise healthy ᴏᴏᴄ:
Tony was still talking with Abdi when the door opened and Alan walked in. He narrowed his eyes under the mask, as the man started the conversation on an angry note. It was things like this that reminded him why he worked alone and didn't have many friends. Working with people could be hard."I already told you. I spoke to Jonathan about finding Zatanna, and he told me to track you down. At the time, it seemed a better idea than back tracking her records to get her phone number,"he explained. He paused, then spoke again."My mistake."He really should have left this stuff to Jonathan. He didn't know if he had always been so anti-social, or if that was a burden that came with the cowl. He tried to talk to people, but it seemed that whenever he did, it backfired. Was it the cowl? Were people just intimidated by the memory of Batman, and even though he wasn't Bruce Wayne, people still acted on it? He would have to experiment a little bit on this.

Martian Manhunter
"I'm not my predecessor..."
Abdi stared at the newcomer, realizing that this was the Alan Cypher that they had been informed of."There's no need for rudeness,"he said, standing fully upright, his 6 and a half foot, 250 pound frame towering over the human."We simply required your assistance. A simple no would have sufficed if you plan to make things difficult, Mr. Cypher."Immediately, he began to set up mental barriers, both around himself and around Anthony, tightening up security to depths even a whole squadron of Martians would have had trouble getting past. The Martian quickly checked his phone, having felt it vibrate just a moment ago. Looking at the text message from Johnathan, he quickly put it away, nearly crushing the phone with giddiness. He gently nudged Anthony, sending across a small mental message that the time to reach the Hall of Justice was now.
Alan raised a curious eyebrow at Batman. "Really you went and got a hold of a martian had the martian attempt to invade my mind, and the only reason for it is so you didn't have to wait a half hour for the batcomputer." He continued to stare at Batman with complete disbelief before just shrugging. "Ok then."
That's when he noticed the actions of the martian. "Says the guy who tried to enter my mind. Also stop it with the macho bullshit, I am here aren't means I am willing to chat. I just don't like having conversations in my mind, face to face is so much better." He said with a grin. Before hearing a loud 'I WILL DESTROY YOU!' as he received the text. The words were shouted by Lucifer himself after Alan had saved a young girl from being manipulated into burning down a city. It wasn't often one was threatened by the king of hell himself so Alan recorded it for prosperity.
Flipping open his phone he saw it was from Jonathan and read that he wanted him to go to the Hall of Justice. Something he had been meaning to do since people have been having weird occurrences there. He saw the martian slip his phone into his pocket and came to the conclusion that he was coming too. "Welp looks like daddies calling. Let's continue this conversation later shall we." He said with a smile
Before walking towards a door and scribbling a symbol and then opening it revealing the outside area of the Hall of Justice. "After you gentlemen." He said with a smile as he waved the two in before following after and shutting the door.
OOC:As I promised witty we would all be in the hall of Justice by today. I ask for you to just accept the auto movement and come along.
