Panth's one champion that can help you get out of Bronze btw, it's a good pick but somehow people later on will eventually focus you knowing that you only deal damage yet you're squishy mid-game...

I'd have to say the best would have to be Renekton for his consistency in the meta. I can't really think of anyone who's been played more competitively top.
But if I would have to pick a favorite it was Jayce, he was such a beast back in the day.

Renekton is pretty much king of the top as of now; however, with the doran's shield nerf, some of the older powerhouses are coming back like Irelia and Jayce.
Trundle is a nice counterpick to the crocodile though.
