This is the planet Sauria, a.k.a. Dinosaur Planet. Prince Tricky is now King Tricky. This planet, in some places, is covered in lush green jungles, ice covered fields, lava rivers, great ocean, and there are various temples. The most commonly seen race are the Dinosaurs for which the planet has been named, but lately several known and unknown outposts have begun to appear on the surface of the planet.

DT sat up from the captain's chair on bridge, reaching out for the monitor in front of him. He pressed the ship's icon on the map, zooming in to show the planet of Sauria just beneath. "NAV," he called out, addressing his ship's robot. "Bring up the nearest spaceport on the comm. We've arrived." Reaching out to the comm panel next to him, he pulled over the receiver.

"Kxaj aj kxo St Bruno semadw ad veh u cudtadw, vhawuko scujj, hogiojkadw scouhudso."

<< Jk Bruno, ru0 2 aj efod veh 0ei, scouhot ke tesb. Nocsemo ke Sauria. >>

"Kxudb 0ei, wheidt sedkhec. Rhadwadw xoh ad. No'ho omfk0, de doot veh u shon ke idceut."

Holstering the receiver, he rose up and exited the bridge. He climbed the ladder in the hallway after the entrance, rising up to the crow's nest. Since the ship used to be an Airship, meant for atmospheric flight, it had an outdoor crow's nest. He felt the cool Saurian air as he opened the latch, climbing out to view the planet below. The craft slowly descended, heading to one of the few Saurian spaceports. "Hmm," he murmured, to himself mostly. "I should hire a few pilots for this job once I've taken the load. Could get hairy."

A few hours earlier...

On top of some ruins overlooking a river sat the young pilot Dawn. She was resting after escorting some cargo ships to a nearby space station. She had come down to enjoy a relaxing break from escort duty. It was something she hated doing since very little happened and if something did generally the other pilots would take over for her. In their mind she was nothing more then a newbie.

A CloudRunner at that moment flew by and landed next to her. It was a warrior one clad in it's leather armor. Normally they are seen at CloudRunner Fortress protecting the Royal family and the home of CloudRunners.

CloudRunner: "Nxuk rhadwj 0ei ke kxaj jushot fcuso?"

Dawn eyed around a little confused and startled. She could see why they would give it that name. It was very pretty and anceint.

Dawn: "Vehwalo mo. A nuj kubadw u rhoub vhem ojsehk tik0. A sud joo nx0 kxaj aj u jushot fcuso. A nacc coulo den."

The CloudRunner eyed Dawn before taking off and calling out at her as he circled around the tops of the ruins.

CloudRunner: "Av 0ei moud de xuhm kxod de xuhm nacc semo ke 0ei. Ro nuhdot kxeiwx ak'j dek m0 fcuso rik kxo Krazoa's ke tosuto av ak aj hawxk veh 0ei ke khojfujj!"

With that the CloudRunner flew off and disappeared into the clouds. Dawn eyed the ground. She never was taught Saurian but she knew how to talk it. One of the many weird things she was at least in her mind.

Dawn eyed into the opening. She felt safe leaving her ship the AngelFox in the open as no one on the planet could pilot it. It was tempting to venture deep into the ruins. It was if someone was calling her.

Dawn talking to her self: I wounder what lies down here. I won't be too long... Just one little look won't hurt. I can't really explore further. A ship is arriving here soon.. I'm expected to escort another ship out not long after that so I should get back before that. If not I will be late. I'm never late... So it should be OK. I got plenty of time for a little look.

So Dawn entered into the sacred Temple but as time went by she never left. Her superiors are beginning to wounder what became of her as the hours passed.

DT watched out the window of the dock offices, seeing the Saurian workers re-fueling his craft and loading on ammunition that he had used up on the way over. There was also a black charred hole through several layers of the side armor on the port side, which was being replaced as he watched. When the spaceport Captain entered the room, the coyote turned back and started to listen.

"Repairs are already underway, as you have seen," the bear stated gruffly, sitting down at his desk and adjusting his hat. "We'll start loading the contents of the shipment later tonight. Any idea what the Cornerians have in there?" DT shook his head, and the bear continued. "As for pilots, there are currently 3 available. Sean and Mika are a pair who always fly together, and have a pretty good track record. They're down at the spaceport bar. They have been informed, and will be ready to fly in the morning."

"The third pilot, Dawn, has the best record of the three. She, however, has not been able to be reached. She went out to some ruins earlier in the day, and hasn't come back. Something there is blocking the comm signals, so we can't contact her. Something or other is always blocking signals in this planet, though, so you don't need to worry about it. If you would like to hire her, I can give you the coordinates of her last known position."

The coyote nodded, rising quietly from his chair. "Thank you. I'll look into it."

Outside the offices, at the edge of the spaceport, were the doors leading to the planet of Sauria itself. Some Sharpclaw had set up a store there, renting out transport craft for planetary trips. Trot rented one of their speeder bikes, and set out towards the ruins.

Dawn came to and rubbed her head. Half asleep she took out a small device. It displayed the time. She snarled annoyed she fell asleep and was now late. Sitting yup she looked around it was then the pain in her head set in. She rubbed her head and snarled. Looking around she was in a room with a very simple patten on the walls. Lanturns were placed on the sides of the wall with one door leading out. She looked on the floor and found herself covered in debre. She removed the debre and stood up. She wasn't badly injured and would soon recover. Loooking up she saw the roof of the room had a hole in it. She couldn't see anything above just darkness.

Dawn talking to herself: How did I get here? Last thing i remeber was taking a quikc look inside the ruins. There is no way I can reach the roof of this palce. I guess all i cna do is go through the door and see where it leads. Before that though i should try and contact the others about my situation.

She started towards the exit and tried her coms unit. Seeing no signal was getting through she snarled and turned the device off. The door slide open and she stared open mouthed at what she saw.

Speeding over the hills and through the vallies, it took DT about half an hour to reach the ruins mentioned earlier. He turned, sliding the sharpclaw speederbike to a stop and hovering on top of the hill, with the entrance to the ruins in front of him. Reaching down, he reached up and hit a button on his scouter, examining the comm channels. No signal. He shook it a few times, just to make sure, gave up. There would have to be some other way of contacting her.

The coyote reached out and grasped the bike, maneuvering it towards the front of the ruins and opening the stronger comm link on that. That had no signal too. He set it to broadcast instead of receive, then positioned it facing the ruins. Hopefully, that could set up a local network, one he could use to talk to the pilot herself. WIth that, he padded in through the entrance of the ruins, looking around as he went deeper. It was his first time exploring the depths of Sauria.

They were stairs leading downwards to Dawn's disappointment but this was short lived compared to what else she saw. The stairs stopped and became a brdige over a chasm. Two large strange statues of some unknown race to Dawn stood ether side of the bridge. Out of their mouths came out water that steam rose out of. The eyes of the statues sent beams of light down. The cave place was lite up by the reflected light of the water below. There was also steam that seemed to cling to everything it touched so moss covered most of the bridge and side of the walls. A slight breeze was coming from the door between the two statues. It was huge and circular. Moss overhung the archway which covered most of the door.

Dawn without realizing it had made her way down to the bottom of the stairs. The bridge looked slippery but the sides where heavily reinforced and very high. A slip wouldn't cause her to fall of the bridge. Dawn carefully approached the doors. She walked with one hand on the side of the bridge.

She gently placed her hand over the gap of the doors. A cold breeze came in compared to the warmth of the room. She tried to grip the door and move it open but the condensation made it hard to hold onto.

Dawn talking to herself: Maybe there is another way to open the door.

It had been quite a while already since DT entered the ruins, wandering around inside. He had the light on his headpiece turned on so he could see, as very little light was coming into the ruins in that area. Every once in a while, he would draw his blaster and press it into the ground, firing a shot and scoring the dirt, so he could find his way back if he needed to.

After a bit, he decided to try out the impromptu comm signal he had set up with the sharpclaw speeder bike. He reached up to his scouter headpiece, holding the button and sending a signal. "Is anyone there? Aj ud0edo kxoho? I'm looking for a pliot named Dawn. A'm ceebadw veh u facek dumot Dawn." The signal was sent back to the bike at the entrance, then broadcast back down into the ruins, slowly fading the farther it got away.

In the meantime, the coyote had found a hole in the ground in front of him. Looking down, his scouter flashlight showed a flat ground, with some debris, not covered with the same dust time had settled on everything else in the ruins. The hole was fresh. He called out down the hole, repeating the same message.

Dawn could hear a faint call. She looked around and shivered. The voice echoed throughout the large room and because it was faint by the time it reached her it sounded ghostlike. Her fur stuck up if there was one thing Dawn didn't like it was ghosts.

Dawn talking to herself: I shouldn't jump to conclusions like this. I hear a noise but it could be anything. A bit of wind.. Maybe someone coming to look for me...? I hope not.

Dawn paused and tossed her head side to side. The shouting ahd stopped by then. Thinking maybe it was jsut the wind she returned her attention to the door. On the side was a panel sticking out. It had writing on it but it was worn with age.

On the panel was written:

M ko nhx v kxo xk jadj holh eh xok u uen e k ok.

Puzzeled she couldn't help but wounder what it meant. SInce they appeared no way to open the door alone and she was stuck she turned on the coms unit. Static could be heard.

Dawn: "Hello? Anyone there?"

Not that she felt like anyone would answer her not with this static.
PostPosted: Tue Dec 02, 2008 4:17 am

DT perked an ear, listening carefully. He could hear something down the hole, but nothing that sounded anything like what he was expecting to hear. The comm was just static, a few different jumbles of noises coming every once in a while, but that just sounded like normal static to him.

He straightened himself up and continued past the hole, walking along. Farther down the hallway in the same direction, he ran into a brick wall. The ground shook, then depressed a little. Looking down, he realized he was standing on a thick black button in the tiles of the floor.

Looking around, he waited for something to happen, but nothing did. He got off the button, then put one foot down on it again to keep it depressed, looking around some more. Shrugging it off, he put his blaster to the floor and fired another marking shot.

After a bit of waiting she turned off the coms. In Dawn's shock the floor rumbled and the door slid open. Blinking you felt the cold air creeping outwards. Inside was a large circular room which led to the top. There was no way to the top directly. Like separated floors outlooking a central hall. It was made out of a strange metal and stone of a blueish tint. Dawn felt relieved. A way out. Looking up she realized how strange this will be. Since the next floor was beyond her reach she looking for another exit. There was a door across from her. She walked over and the door opened straight away. It was a long corridor leading downwards. Dawn scowled she wanted to go up.

Annoyed she slammed the side of the wall. A strange click sound could be heard and the door behind her closed. A little shocked and annoyed with herself she tried the hitting it again but no luck. She headed downards as it was the only way out now.

DT shrugged after a bit, taking his foot off of the button. That wasn't getting him anywhere, and he needed to keep moving. He turned and doubled back, taking a side passage he had passed by earlier instead.

The passage was curved, almost as if it was going around a vast circular room. The dirt tumbled forwards in front of him, leading him to believe the room was slightly tilted downwards. He continued onwards, before coming to a stop in front of a new door, one that was closed. He scurried around, trying to find a way to open it.

As Dawn headed down the corridor she heard a a dripping sound. Turning around the side she noticed that the end of the coridor had been destroyed and exposed to a cave. The way the building merged to the large cave room made Dawn question as to wether it was destroyed or left on purpuse. She noticed the light in th came made it look like the lgiht was dancing around. She looked aorund and spotted a strange pad on the floor. She stepped on it hoping for a reaction but nothing. However she cuaght a glimpse of a pond or small lake through craks of the cave. The pad was placed at what looked to ban entrence to a smaller cave inside. She walked off the pad and headed inside. It was like a tunnel. She exited the other end to be facing a lake. She could feel the warmth from the lake. Looking aorund he gently kneeled down and dipped her finger into it. It felt nice. SHe thenw ent to remove her boots and dipped her feet in. There was no need to hurry. She had brought some snacks with ehr and began eaiting them splashing the water as she did.

To the coyote's amazement, the door in front of him opened on its own, after he had given up trying to find some way of forcing it open. He quickly rolled through before it could decide to close again, which it did a few moments after. DT stood up and brushed himself off as best he could, looking around the new room he was in.

The room was small, not even big enough for him to stand up straight in. All there was in it was a round hole in the center of the tiny space, sporting a ladder on one side. Peeking down, he couldn't see what was beneath it, though he could faintly hear running water. Climbing down onto the top few rungs of the ladder, he began his slow descent down through the hole.

Once she finished her snacks she let her feet dry off before putting her boots back on. She then set off. There was another smaller cave on the over side. Entering she walked down a long corridor. It ended in a strange room. There was an upper floor balcony around one side of the room. The room was square shaped and a large door was shut on the other side. Dawn headed over to the door and looked at all around the room. There was torchs lighting the room. They had an odd blue flame that gave the room a blue hue. In the center was a small square plateform with a water broder around it. On it was a glowing portal. As Dawn stepped on it it became appaerent the portal wasn't working at this time. Feeling disapointed she tried the door. Again it was shut. She walked back to the portal and sat on it. No point worrying.
