Appearance: Oyumi is an exceptionally fit young woman thanks to many years training as a ninja. She is approximately 5'6" tall, with an overall petite build. Her hair is white and waist length, although it is typically kept pinned up in a styled bun with bangs that fall into her red eyes. Her preferred clothing is practical but tight fitting, often involving fiery colors and images of the legendary Moltres. Short kimono, leggings, and jika-tabi are all staples in her wardrobe and its rare to see her wearing anything more elaborate than that. On more formal occasions she can be coaxed into furisode, although she is distinctly uncomfortable in them.

Personality: Much like her choice in clothing color, Oyumi is a fiery person by nature. While her training as a ninja has helped her learn to keep her moods level, once she's fired up about something it can be quite the feat to cool her off. While her passion isn't necessarily a bad thing, at times she can overdo things just a bit. When it comes to anything where she can spread the way of the ninja or even have a great adventure, she's all over it. Although she isn't quite the best teacher when it comes to spreading ninjutsu, she does try her best. She doesn't have the patience of her master when it comes to explaining things bit by bit, and would much rather just show someone... Which doesn't always work all that well.

She also has a tendency to be easily frustrated when someone else doesn't grasp something as easily as she does, or even when she has difficulty grasping something herself! This can lead to her temper flaring up - often times rather explosively - and it can be difficult to placate her when her fuse is lit. In fact there are very few people or Pokemon in the world who have managed the feat. Her anger is something to be feared as it is oftentimes just as volatile in nature as fire, and her ability to hold a grudge is legendary among her friends. Just when you think you've escaped it, she'll surprise you with an act of revenge! (Although her idea of revenge normally consists of a well timed prank or public humiliation in the form of a total beat down in battle, so in the end things could be worse.)

But beneath all of her fire and passion, Oyumi is a genuinely sweet girl who cares deeply for her friends and family - human or otherwise. She'll stick by them to the very end, through thick and thin. She could easily past nearly any test of friendship that could be imagined up, and with flying colors to boot!

History: Born to a well-off family in Fuchsia City, Oyumi never needed to want anything for long before she got it. She was content to be spoiled by her parents for most of her early childhood and never saw the point in striving for anything more. It wasn't until she was ten that she happened to pass by the local gym during a training session for the resident ninja, and she quickly became fascinated with the martial art. She was quick to plead with her parents to allow her to enroll in the gym, and it was with good humor that they agreed, thinking it only a passing fancy their daughter would quickly get fed up it.

Little did they realize that what they thought to be a whim, soon became a lifestyle. Oyumi soaked up Koga's teachings and first discovered her latent psychic abilities while training at Fuchsia Gym a year later. Despite her potential as a psychic, she continued her training in Ninjutsu and chose not to fully develop her abilities.

It was when she was thirteen that Oyumi began training with an elderly neighbor's Lucario in addition to her studies under Koga. She developed a great bond with the Pokémon and it quickly became a dream of hers to own a Lucario of her own someday in the future, although she knew it might take some time due to the rarity of the species.

Her studies came to an end at the age of sixteen, when Koga told her that she would have to continue her training outside the gym if she hoped to improve further. It took some discussion with her parents to get them to agree to let her travel, and their last gift to her before she departed was a Girafarig she named Kamu and a ticket to Zatao. On the boat there she stumbled upon a young healer by the name of Kurai, and the two became fast friends and traveling partners.

Over the course of their journey together, the two of them have traveled a good portion of Zatao and met many Pokemon. One of the most notable is the Mewtwo that came into Oyumi's care after she found him dehydrated in the Saxukai Desert. He claimed to join her because it was safer to travel with a trainer, but with the way he looks at the human it's entirely possible he has another motive known only to himself.

Trivia: Oyumi has mild psychic abilities that manifest as Pokémon centered empathy. She is able to innately sense a Pokémon's emotions and can sometimes get a general feel for what they are trying to communicate.
