Good morning/afternoon/evening all.
I haven't come on Gaia properly in donkey's years, but just now a lightbulb of sorts lit up in my head. It could even be the Lord himself saying, this is how you can help me.
I just ask for a few moments of your time to keep reading. This isn't about me, but a crisis going on in the world that few people even know about. I hope I don't say anything against guild or Gaia rules. If so I apologize, but please allow the thread to remain as people ought to be aware.
My husband and I have been watching a lot of news and documentaries surrounding North Korea. What started as mere curiosity after a while lead to a horrifying realization that has broken our hearts. Right now, there are thousands upon thousands of people being treated worse than even the victims of WWII, worse than animals, worse than even insects.
Put simply, North Korea's leader is a dictator arguably even worse than Hitler. From satellite images to the testimonies of the few that escape, it has been confirmed that North Korea runs vast concentration camps. Anybody in the country that questions the leader, or even creases a piece of paper with the leader on it, is sent to these camps. Not only them, but their entire family and it's next and previous 3 generations. This is a cruel form of punishment that only North Korea enforces. In other words, if you are found guilty and sent to the camp for life, your children, parents, grandparents, siblings, and any future children of the family will be sent there for life as well. Most people will never know what their "crime" was that put them there. In these camps you are less than an animal. I could go on forever describing what goes on within the borders of the country and these camps, but I shall refrain.
If you are at all interested in learning more on the topic, just Google or watch the documentaries of the few people that have been allowed into the country. My husband and I have felt so strongly that we've began donating to a charity that helps the defectors to safely escape and go to South Korea, where they are granted automatic citizenship and aid in starting their new life. For a long time I've wished I could do more, and maybe posting here is it.

More prayers, and a few for you as well.
There are many places in this world that are reporting the same afflictions. And these things have been going on for generations. It's bad enough, with people waking up more to the state of things and His Word, that many think that the end times are here. This may be the case. I pray not, but I have seen too many things that would make one wonder...
Having said that, I will not suggest one way or the other as to posting these causes here. I will, however, say that if the Ruach/Spirit moves one to act, do not ignore His call. If you feel lost as to what to do to help, or don't feel you have the means to do so, there are things that can be done in your own area. Ministry does not start with door-to-door campaigns, or street corner sermons. It starts with each of us, in our hearts, and what wee do for those around us. Mostly, living that life that we are called to do. Part of which is to look to those around you that need, or are oppressed and afflicted. Because, how we treat 'the least of these' is how we treat Yahushua/Jesus. And this, if I may entreat all of you, is stated time and again in the Tanak/Old Testament - not to forget the poor, the widows, the orphans, and the levites within our gates. With prayer and guidance from HaShem/God, we may even supply what's needed. smile
