Sexual Orientation: bisexual aromantic

History:
C'mant and Sena met ten turns ago sometime before Sharath's demise. Sena was in Trine with her father, selling their wares. Sena's father was a journeyman in the Farmercraft in Ursul Hold, but would annually take his only child to Trine with him on a trip to sell their wares. This particular time that Sena and her father were in Trine, a gold dragon was rising. Despite her father's warnings to stay indoors she didn't listen. As the gold rose she left the comfort of their inn and stepped outside, where she ran into C'mant. The poor man was not having a good time, his dragon was flying after the gold and he was feeling lustful. Spying the woman, he immediately set about getting her into his bed. After an amazing night, in which Sena lost her virginity, the woman returned to her inn room where she found her father impatiently waiting for her. He asked no questions, but immediately packed their wares and set out for the trip home, but Sena never forgot about C'mant. Three months later, Sena began to show. She sent word to C'mant, but unfortunately Sharath had grown ill and Trine was on high alert as the dragon was poisoned.
Naturally, when her daughter was born, Sena wrote to C'mant again. She told the man that he was a father, but the flit never returned with a response. Sena, fearing the worst, heard of the wars going on between Keller and Trine. She worried for the man who'd been her first love. Their daughter, Ksenija, was too young at the time to know about wars. Despite her family's anger at her conceiving a child from a rider, she raised her daughter in Ursul Hold with them. She occasionally wrote to C'mant, but with the Wherwars at their hardest moments, it wasn't something that he could respond to. When Ksenija was two, the wherwars ended and peace, though not lasting, was once again brought to the lands around Trine.
As Ksenija grew her grandparents constantly filled her head with horror stories of dragons, traumatizing the child. Every time her mother set out to leave she'd cry and beg her not to go, worried that she might be snatched by a dragon. Being Hold born she never really saw a dragon, all she had to go off of were her grandparents' dislike for the massive beasts. When Ksenija was six years old, her mother was out passed the outskirts of Ursul Hold and was attacked by a band of Holdless. It was later assumed they were in favor of the Rogue Queens, but never confirmed. It only added to Ksenija's fear of dragons and caused her to have an irritating fear of abandonment. She stuck closer to home, and if she heard wing beats she'd retreat inside, even if the creature was not a dragon. Her grandparents, having rejected the child when she was born, sent constant letters to C'mant in Trine, demanding he retrieve his offspring. They swore that dragons and their riders were the enemy, and constantly forced their opinions on their granddaughter.
Two years passed before C'mant was able to come to Ursul Hold. Ksenija, after hearing the awful stories of dragons from her grandparents, shied away immediately from C'mant and his massive Bronze, . She begged her grandparents not to send her away but they ignored her, handing her off to this stranger as though she were just another ware. As soon as she was in C'mant's arms on his dragon's back she burst into tears. The between air was cold to the child, she shivered insistently and sniffled as she sobbed, wide eyed. In a moment she was in Trine Weyr. There were dragons everywhere and the girl screamed her lungs out. C'mant tried to console her, but it wasn't until he'd taken her safely to his room and shut out all the dragons that the little one began to calm. For a week it was like this, every time she left the room she'd scream and scream, it annoyed many people who took their complaints directly to C'mant. But, he could do nothing to ease the girl's troubling fears.
When she finally started to calm down after her initial week, C'mant was able to get her into the creche. He was still a rider and still needed to do the work that was demanded of him. The kids in the creche already knew who she was and she was shunned by most of them. She usually sat by herself and didn't socialize much, which worried C'mant. Over the last turn, Ksenija's development has been steadily getting better. She no longer screams whenever she sees a dragon, though she does exhibit other symptoms of fear, she seems paralyzed until the dragon moves on it's way and her eyes go wide and teary. C'mant is still trying to get her over her fears of the dragons; it's a long process.
Description:
Ksenija takes after her mother in appearance. She has long curly hair in a honey brown color that frames her heart-shaped face. Her eyes are a slate blue color that have a darker blue ring around the iris. The shape of her eyes can be considered round in shape with a thick set of eye lashes. Her skin is milky white and covered in fine blond peach fuzz hairs. She is somewhat chubby, though not too noticeably. Her sense of style definitely contradicts her father's. She enjoys plain dresses as opposed to wearing pants and shorts. Her usual attire is a plain cotton chiffon short-sleeved dress in a rich lavender fabric. A tan colored ribbon adorns her hair and pushes it back in a hair band style. The ribbon matches a delicate belt the young girl wears around her midriff to keep her dress secured at her sides. Underneath she wears a pair of tan colored "bloomers" for modesty's sake.
Personality:
positive && ( 88 ) gracious, ( 127 ) meticulous, ( 35 ) conscientious
neutral && ( 84 ) self-conscious
negative && ( 206 ) pugnacious, ( 18 ) barbaric, ( 51 ) critical
Ksenija is a troubled young woman, after her mother's passing she began to feel out of place and insecure. She withdrew into herself and became more self-conscious, seeking out approval and finding none. Thus, when introduced to new people she becomes shy and uncertain, stammering through her sentences with little to no coherency. The head of the creche sometimes fears she may be slow, but that's not it at all.
The nine turn old girl is quite urbane considering her age. Very gracious in her behavior, she is filled with tact and delicacy. Ksenija does not really enjoy the metaphoric "stepping on toes". She prefers to handle things with a delicate meticulousness. She is a perfectionist, taking great strides to show her meticulous nature. Due to her desire for things to be perfect and exact, other children tend to shy away from her, whether they think she is too serious or just weird is unknown. Her consideration to details causes a worry line to form on the adults' in her life brows. She cannot help but take note of every detail. When faced with a task she is very conscientious; she takes great care in everything she does and is constantly asking if she is doing it right. She wants to do things properly, even if it irks those around her. This may be due to the rejection from her grandparents in Ursul Hold.
However, within the young girl is a very critical attitude. Ksenija can be highly judgmental of herself, and often puts herself down in what could be mistaken for modesty. Even when she is doing good she always doubts herself and fears she's not doing her best. If she makes a mistake she often will be the first one to point it out; though shards forbid she points out or even sees a flaw in someone else! She will not "trash" someone else's work and often believes others are better at her than everything. The only good thing about this is she is decisive, setting her mind in whatever she's said she would do. Due to her unsophisticated perfectionism many believe the child to be barbaric. No nine turn old would be that concerned with everything being perfect and it causes others to worry for her well-being. She sometimes lacks the restraint necessary to keep a level head and has a tendency to throw temper tantrums when things do not go the way she desired them to. As with most young kids she is prone to screeching when she's upset. When upset, Ksenija's personality takes a turn for the worst and she becomes incredibly pugnacious. She is willing to take on anything and everyone who so happens to look in her general direction. She becomes combative and unresponsive to gentle consoling until a time which she lulls herself to sleep, which has happened to poor C'mant on multiple occasions.
She isn't sure what she wants to do when she is older, and keeps bouncing through ideas. However, the general population seems to push her to dragon riding, which makes her uncomfortable due to her fear of dragons. She would much rather take up a different craft, though her father seems determined that she stand at least once when she reaches candidate age. Despite being a quiet and meticulous child, Ksenija does not get along with many kids in the creche. It takes a very similar minded child in order for her to accept them, and vice-versa. Due to her fear of rejection she tends to look to adults more for acceptance and love than anything else. Ksenija wants to be loved, and thus she tries for perfection. She tends to follow the rules, though were someone to behave poorly she'd feel torn between acceptance from the adult in charge or her self-consciousness. In the end, she would probably do nothing about a rule-breaker; despite a strong desire to. School work tends to bore her, despite her perfectionist attitude. She usually rushes through her work in order to have more free time to do other things she enjoys. Ksenija tends to feel as though she's a failure nine times out of ten; due to this, the young girl actually will spend months on a project. If she fails, she tends to throw a tantrum and cry for a bit before going back to the problem and trying to see it in a new light. Yes, she is prone to frequent temper tantrums. She doesn't have a fear of failure, but of rejection as a result of failure. She will continue to try at something until she gets approval from the adults in her life.
Other:
• I received permission to re-convert "Ksenija's" character (here) for Plot purposes. For plot reasons DraconicFeline and I wanted a younger child that C'mant would be forced to bond with due to unforeseen circumstances. It'll also help for developing her as she ages; we didn't want to make her candidate age because her prior form would've required she age out. So in this way she'll eventually and gradually turn towards candidacy once she gets over being afraid of dragons and wants to follow C'mant's footsteps.
○○ opinions on dragons
She holds a bit of contempt for dragons, fearing what should be revered. Ksenija doesn't quite know how to accept them as a part of daily life, and tends to freeze when a dragon is walking passed.
○○ opinions on whers
They're smaller than dragons, though twice as scary. She fears their temperaments more than she actually fears them. She'd rather steer clear of them in general.
○○ opinions on wherwars
She was young at the time of the wherwars, only about two. She doesn't remember what they were about, all she sees is the long healed scars, and that doesn't seem to bother her. Ksenija doesn't think war is good though.
○○ opinions on the gold fall
Ksenija is still young, too young to really have much memory of the overall fall of the golds. However, she admits non-nonchalantly that the need to earn your place is one that should be followed without question and approves of the general ruling that one must earn their rank.
○○ opinions on politics
She is nothing more than a child. If at some point she decides to go into politics it would be a good idea for the perfectionist.
○○ opinions on the creche
Ksenija enjoys being in the creche, although she doesn't like to be very social with the other kids and tends to be alone more often than not. Being cooped up doesn't seem to sit well with her either and she'd rather go outside and sit in the shade while intently staring at the clouds.
○○ opinions on C'mant
He's her father, so she does feel some curiosity to get to know him more, although she is uncertain on whether the bronze rider is really suitable to the duties of a parent or if he'll just leave her and abandon her like her grandparents. This causes some fear to rise in her whenever he's near.
○○ opinions on father's dragon
The bronze is big. The bronze is powerful. She doesn't really enjoy being within the bronze's company. But she does enjoy falling asleep while riding with her father on his back. Gradually she'll eventually come around to the dragons.
