Name: N'ash
Age: 31
Gender:Male
Sexual Orientation: Demisexual
Craft/Rank: Junior Weyrwoman
Naanash is a twin. He has a sister and a younger brother, though Sun certainly isn’t so little anymore. His little brother is nearly full grown now. Their father died, but Loche certainly stepped up in making sure Sun got to this point.
He misses his father, but he was arthritic and in pain and tired. He sort of wishes that Loche would stay in Trine, but he isn’t the type to settle down. He isn’t sure but he wouldn’t be surprise that Loche past is tied to holds and weyrs in unsavory ways. Not asking but he might see about getting Sun to stay around.
Harbinger has settled a bit more, still a crackskull queen but less likely to freak and destroy her occasional clutch. Still hates about everyone but it isn’t like he can ask for a miracle every time he could use one.
The first nineteen turns in the caravan prepared him for a life that was always changing and always take an advantage when you can get one. Being chosen to stand was an advantage, one that he thought to try for two turns and probably move on. He had never truly considered either of them impressing, but then his twin impressed the tiniest crimson and that changed.
Thick or thin, family stayed together and Nash stayed in candidate training to keep close to his twin and the tiny crimson he had impressed. When Lanterneth was stronger his fathers and little brother moved on but Hollin stayed, his sister joining him in candidate training.
Chores… well, there weren’t anything he hadn’t done before. He focused and got through it but a second opportunity came when Lanterneth was flying and they traveled to meet with Eulcid. They didn’t join but it certainly lit an idea to full bloom and he stayed in Trine. If he impressed or Hollin then certainly two dragons had a better chance of striking on their own then just one crimson.
Two turns past and he was getting strained and finally Sharath rose and he had a chance. Then Keller poisoned her when she was gravid and that chance was slipping as the queen grew ill and there were eggs but she died leaving her clutch to their faiths.
He wondered if anyone else thought about what could happen to the eggs developing while their mother was poisoned and died from it. Nash couldn’t get out the thought of Lan being so frail herself and born from a healthy queen.
It was a small clutch, runty and motherless and heavily atypical. Certainly more than any other clutch he had been to. Blacks hatchings, silver hatchings, crimsons, each one broken out of their shell and his sister impressed, and then Netunnuth hatched all soft and beautiful and he was in love.
Netunnuth was frail, perhaps a bit more then Lanterenth despite her heavier weight. He worked with her and after their decision, he noticed that her vision was starting to fail. It wasn’t much, but things in the distance that were once clear were no longer as sharp. He noticed that it steadily got worse over the turns and started a journal recording the changes over a period of 12 seven days, testing four times a turn. It wasn’t anything to consider grounding her, but as she grew order he had to consider she might end up blind in her twilight years.
The war was bloody and drawn out and truly he felt more tired than justified. It is hard to claim you are in the right and it is hard to stomach some of his fellow treatment to wher handlers in general. Can you say, discontentment? Nash dealt with the aftermath the best he could, choosing to embrace his old healing craft and provide hands into fixing the horrors the battle had left behind.
Then the queens fell and things opened up and he found himself diving into politics because he wanted to lend his voice into decisions and was irritated at being dismissed as just a crimson breeder. Getting the junior weyrwoman positon was a bit of a surprise but ehh, he can handle that.
N’ash feels strongly for color equality, smoothing thing between Eulcid and the refugees from the Wherwars (He knows and he is forgiving and yeah, other weyrs can mind their own beeswax about this.) He wants to do something for the wher handler problem… suspicion is not how they should be viewing them but is going slow in trying to figure out how to manage it with the high spirits going on.
Description: N’ash remains rawboned, his tall and lank physic isn’t changing even after turns of good meals. His eyes are narrow in shape, heavy lidded with a long fringe of lash giving him a sleepy look. Nash's irises are bright green, sharp and alert. He olived skinned and it isn't unusual for there to be a bit of ink on his fingers. His face like the rest of him is sharp, mainly his hooked, sharp ridged nosed and angular chin. His face is rather long, narrow and he has thin lips. The upper is softer, and his mouth is a tad wide giving him very toothy smiles that are often meant to be less then friendly. He let his hair grow out, keeping it out of his way in a loose braid.
He certainly dresses better then he used to.
Personality: N’ash is still sarcastic and cynical, he is just better at keeping his tongue in check and thinking before he speaks. He still tightly focused but he is softening a bit that the world will become a better place, if you plant your heels and dig to make it so. He still retains the ability to be heard without resorting to yelling and has become better at keeping his head and temper when faced with someone that grates on his nerves.
He still frets, things have slowed and settled but N’ash plans ahead and tries to have several different options and ways that a project could work before submitting anything. He tries to keep ahead and while can adapt to spontaneous is a bit slow off the start.
Loyal and Organized. It’s no one right to know about anyone privacy, let along what side they were on or what they had done. N’ash has adopted patience confidently to the individuals of Trine weyr. He is loyal to his family and to Trine as a whole and is focus on keeping everyone working together in a way that things get done. Organization is key and his desk certainly stays organized and neat and a good amount of tea on hand.
Committed. Nash commits to people, ideas, and relationships start slow and developing over turns. It makes him hard to move out of that rut and to change and since he has settled and focused it going to take a lot of force to get him out of Trine. He is like a dog to a bone, it is his now, he isn’t going to let it go and you aren’t going to get him out of where he is without some force.
Other: Left handed and nearly photographic memory
