Strengths: Eobard has a strong intellect which allows him to figure out things very quickly. In addition he can toy with people’s emotions in that he can seem very kind and charming when it suits his needs. His incredibly handsome appearance amplifies his charm as well, plus the great amount of wealth he has acquired from his future knowledge of the stock market.

Weaknesses: As stated before, Eobard has a bit of an ego problem. He has to always be the smartest person in the room (which he usually is) and will become a bit confrontational when challenged by others. Likewise, Eobard does not value human life as something to be preserved. This is shown in his deliberate planning of killing civilians or his own villain accomplices. In addition, his psychological condition can make him impulsive and act out in violence without considering the consequences of his actions.

Personality
Throughout his life Eobard has exhibited antisocial behavior to the extent of not being able to care for the emotions nor the safety of others. Though usually composed, his mental illness can cause him to become extremely agitated and impulsive often with illegal or violent actions without feeling remorse or regret. Do keep in mind that though he has this mental disease, Eobard is a human being who can feel emotions. It is that Eobard cannot always handle some of his emotions, mainly anger, in healthy ways. In addition sympathizing with others is near impossible, yet he is able to feign the appropriate ones in situations where it will benefit his goals. Not only in this way does he use this deception, but he is able to utilize feelings of guilt, seduction, and flattery to manipulate others.

It should also be noted that Eobard has shown to have acute obsession with the concept of fate/destiny and free will. More strongly is the latter obsession displayed with the attachment of the concept to that of The Flash. It should be noted, however, that it is no particular Flash (though originating and felt most strongly with Barry Allen) but rather merely the existence of The Flash. In his mind, Eobard struggles with finding a way to create his own path when he sees his origin as one of pre-determined creation and fate bound. Initially seeing The Flash as a symbol of choice/free-will, Eobard later would come to hate the idea after discovering his apparent “destiny” of him becoming The Reverse Flash.

Biography
Pre-Void Earth Biography

Upon his death during the Flashpoint event, the locket of Element Z that Eobard wore was broken open by the Amazonian blade which Thomas Wayne pierced through The Reverse Flash's heart. As he lay dying, the Element Z entered his bloodstream causing Eobard's powers to amplify exponentially. In such, he managed to escape soon after Barry Allen (The Flash) did and entered the Negative Speed Force to attempt to sabotage the time stream repairs. However, following after The Reverse Flash was the Speed Force's personification of Death itself, The Black Flash. Choosing to preserve his own life, Eobard raced with the Element Z burning through his body to make it to whatever new universe that Barry Allen had created before The Black Flash could fuse his soul into the Speed Force. Once evading The Black Flash, Eobard found himself in a new version of our modern age with his mortal wound healed by his immensely amplified speed. Yet, in avoiding the Death, the cost was that of his great abilities.

At the time when he arrived in this current universe, Eobard quickly discovered that his nemesis, Barry Allen, along with the rest of the super powered heroes, had disappeared from existence. Enthralled and eager to know how his enemy perished, he took up the alias of Edward Thorne, the S.T.A.R. Labs Speed Force Dept. Head and reluctant psychiatric patient, and conducted "research" on the Speed Force to find clues on how The Flash disappeared. However, his hopes of finally being rid of his mortal enemy were dashed as he and the rest of the world witnessed the arrival of both a New Flash and Kid Flash, along with several others taking the mantles of the absent heroes.

Now unable to return to his time centuries ahead, Eobard has tasked himself to recreate his life saving substance from the 25th Century: Element Z. These past four years, and great amount of wealth, have given him great progress in development. He has also been keenly monitoring these new speedsters as well. Once Eobard regains his speed, they will most certainly be the primary targets for his revenge.

Before Eobard became the infamous Reverse Flash, and even before he left the 25th Century, he met the reporter Rose. She had interviewed him for a story about the Speed Force, and during their session Eobard had fallen madly in love with her. Soon after they became close friends, yet his chances for love were thwarted as Rose was already engaged to another man. In his rage Eobard murdered Rose’s fiancé secretly, and he hoped that she would come to love him in the time after. However, Rose still refused Eobard’s romantic gestures. He even used his powers to erase every boyfriend Rose had from existence to aid his endeavors. Though she did love Eobard, it was more like that of a brother than boyfriend and she told as such as he kept pursuing her. Once more enraged, Eobard traveled to the past and traumatized Rose as a child, causing her to go mute and live in a mental hospital for the rest of her life.

[Weapon Information]

○ Amplified Negative Speed Force Suit: Originally belonging to Barry Allen this suit was infused with his Speed Waves of the Speed Force. However over time Eobard the amount of Speed Waves alongside infusing Speed Waves from the Negative Speed Force which resulted in him becoming faster than the Flash even without the suit on.

○ Locket of Element Z:This element was created for Eobard in the 25th Century which granted him his Super Speed after losing it when returning from the past. In such a case where he should lose his powers once again, Eobard simply has to expose himself to the element for a period of time. Although his natural speed will be renewed, he will need to infuse both Speed Forces into himself to regain his full power. It was also discovered by him that when Thomas Wayne stabbed him through the heart during the Flashpoint event, the locket of Element Z was broken open and spilled the contents into his system. This would eventually allow him to later evade the Black Flash and enter this current universe, but at the cost of his body’s speed.

[Ability Information]

○ Negative Speed Force Conduit: Eobard created his own Speed Force the same way Barry Allen created the normal Speed Force. By duplicating the incident that granted the latter his powers, Professor Zoom was able to create his own Negative Speed Force by generating it through kinetic energy. Eobard can tap into it as normal speedsters can with the normal Speed Force and can apparently shut off their connection to the latter by "contaminating" it with negative energy.

○ Decelerated Aging: Along with every speedster that draws from the speed force, the loved ones of the speedsters will gain eternal youth like Jay's wife and Barry's wife ages have shown.

○Steal Speed: He is able to "steal" speed and/or momentum from anyone or anything, including beings such as Superman or Inertia effectively turning them into living statues. Also can steal speed from bullets and other fast moving objects thrown at him or at others.

○ Negative Speed Force Aura: Much like The Flash, Prof Zoom is surrounded by an aura which provides the same functions as The Flash’s. His "Negative Speed Force Aura" protects him and anyone who is running with him or carried by him, from the effects of using his speed. This includes friction and airborne particulate matter. It also protects him from injury from high speed impacts such as punches he delivers and receives from his opponents. With this aura, he is able to absorb kinetic energy.

○ Superhuman Stamina: Professor Zoom possesses vast superhuman endurance that is nearly inexhaustible. He is able to run non-stop for over 10 days straight without tiring, through time and space across existence (Everywhere from the fourth dimension to the Big Bang) at speeds so far beyond light and so unimaginable, he is constantly breaking through all the barriers and has brushed both Speed Forces.

○ Self Sustenance: Eobard has shown that he can survive in harsh environments such as space without any hindrance and has shown that he can gain all the energy he needs from his Negative Speed Force's infinite storage of energy.

○Superhuman Speed: Although the title of "Fastest Man" is usually attributed to The Flash, Eobard Thawne is able to achieve speeds greater than that of his nemesis at times. This speed would be beyond the equivalent of approximately 2 miles per second, allowing him to cross the United States in about 23 minutes, or circle the world in about 3 hours, and as seen by Wally West, use the his speed to run much faster than light on the planet Earth without it having devastating effects on the planet. Professor Zoom is able to also deliver hundreds of blows in seconds, run on water, and run up/on the sides of buildings.

○Phasing: The Reverse Flash has always possessed the ability to control his speed and angular momentum at the molecular level, and control his molecular interactions to allow his body to pass through any substance. If he chooses Eobard can excite the molecules of whatever substance he vibrates through to critical mass causing it to explode. While in an intangible state, The Reverse Flash is immune to any airborne viruses and can breathe regularly. He can also vibrate so fast that light does not reflect off him, rendering him invisible.

○Flight: By spinning like a helicopter, he can even perform a limited kind of flight. Since his power is a quantum/molecular phenomenon, The Reverse Flash has been able to fly just as other metas do because he can control his absolute molecular energy and direction and force it in the direction he wished to move without running. Though he rarely makes use of this ability as he prefers running. The Negative Speed Force also allows him to run in frictionless environments, as he is able to run in space itself without any outside assistance.

○Increased Perceptions: The Reverse Flash possesses the ability to alter his perceptions so that falling objects can appear to be standing still and can be caught and moved back to their normal position. He can disarm or jam any number of opponent’s weapons before they are even aware of his movement and can hurl small projectiles at hypersonic velocities. His ability to alter his own perception of time is so great, that if he wishes, the tick between a second can pass for millions of years. He can even push this ability to the point, that to him, it's as if the Universe is standing still. He can even all together, break time through the time and dimension barrier, to truly be beyond time/space.

○Supercharged Brain Activity: At birth, Thawne was genetically modified to have an IQ of 167, and his mental abilities are also increased in speed. Simple computations can be done at lightning speeds, and his ability to perform normal feats at increased speeds has allow him to build hundreds of advanced machines in a matter of minutes, move sandbags to cover a beach or search an entire area for something as small as a paper clip. Eobard can also read at super-speed, but rarely does so as it may reveal his identity while in disguise or so that he can savor what he reads. His vast intellect and extensive research in the 25th Century makes him currently the top expert on the Speed Forces.

○Vortex Creations: By running in a circle at a certain speed, Zoom is able to create a vortex with a variety of effects. One effect is pulling the air away from the center in order to suffocate an enemy. Another effect is levitating whoever and whatever was in the center. Also, able to send anyone or anything into another dimension when running around them. Some other effects are acting as barriers to movement or funnels for toxic gases. The Flash also can spin his arms to create directed funnels of hurricane speed air that can knock down barriers or reduce the speed of a falling object.

○Youth Draining:By physically coming into contact with another person or animal, Eorbard is able to essentially “leech off” the life of his victim and add it to his own lifespan.

○Age Shifting: Professor Zoom is able to utilize the Negative Speed Force to allow him to shift his molecules to change his bodily appearance according with the different ages of his life. These range from young boy to senior citizen.

[Weakness Information]

○Human: Eobard can take just as much damage as the next person or regular human being. To these extents, his suit offers him some defense from most forms of physical damage, but he is still susceptible to attacks like magic, lasers, or energy to name a few.

○Pride: Despite his advanced intelligence and meticulous planning, Eobard cannot resist taunting his enemies, which may lead to him overlooking certain details.

○Physical limitations: Though his speed can outmatch The Flash’s, Prof Zoom does not have as strong of a connection to his Negative Speed Force as the Flash is to the normal Speed Force. This can cause Zoom to lose his powers if he pushes them to extremes too often. Additionally, when exposing himself to Element Z to regain his powers, he is vulnerable until he regains his speed.

○Mental Illness: In addition to his pride, Eobard suffers from a mental illness known as Antisocial Personality Disorder (aka Sociopathy). The main features of this disease include consistent disregard for others through exploitation and repeated unlawful actions. Individuals who have this illness tend to show no remorse for hurting others, repeatedly neglect responsibilities, tell lies, and perform destructive or illegal acts without developing any insight into predictable consequences. These individuals do not voluntarily seek psychiatric care for symptoms of the personality disorder, but they are often seen for court-referred evaluation or treatment. However, due to his current position within this version of the universe, Eobard has begrudgingly chosen to see a psychiatrist in so that he may avoid unwanted detainment while in the interim of regaining his recently lost powers.

By the way, is there anything that I should fix before I put in the Bio and new Sample? It would make the editing process a little bit more easy for us all if I attend to them now.

I plan to have the Element Z enter his body after Thomas Wayne stabbed him and broke his locket. This would have extremely amplified his powers and allow him to both heal his wound, escape The Black Flash, and enter this new world.

I haven't really read any of the New 52 comics so I don't know how they did it. In truth I would elect to ignore the New 52 explanation and pursue my idea instead. Thank you for the critiques and I'll work on them when I have time. I'm technically working right now, so it may not happen soon.

I know you are a busy man, so I'll let you take a look at this little update of my profile when you have the time. I wrote a biography for Eobard in this new universe, and I'd like you to look over it for any flaws, etc.

In addition, I know you said that I needed an in character RP sample in the application but I am not really sure what to write for it. Is there a particular situation you want and is this sample going to tie into the posts later on?

I get that. Just is my RP sample going to also play into the greater narrative of the RP?

Also, I think he can be a college professor as long as he doesn't harass, harm, or break the law (and get caught) while teaching. Hence, to help himself to avoid the inconvenience of being fired/arrested, he's reluctantly decided to undergo therapy.

If you don't like that idea, I can always just have constantly acting like he's normal. Although with his condition, the falsities of that endeavor eventually wane. However, I do suppose that since he teaches college kids, he could just lecture them so it'll be like a stage performance where he'd be pretending the whole time with the occasional hint of his mental illness, but he might brush it off as being a little eccentric.

Likewise, if Sean Bito and I decide to plot/ post together, Eobard could do a similar performance as his character did in the CW Flash show

Yeah, he's undergoing therapy. Though his condition is pretty bad compared to normal people. He isn't a good person and his mental illness sometimes causes him to impulsively act violently without regard for other people's safety. However that only usually happens when he gets angry. Otherwise he's a pretty calculating and patient dude who uses his mind to plan out his evilness.

As for S.T.A.R. Labs, I didn't know he could work there. It would be great if he could, but when I researched Eobard's canon history he was usually a professor at a school or worked in the Flash Museum studying the Speed Force. I'll send a PM to RAven to see what's what.
