Hello, everyone!
So I was thinking that New Year’s Eve is another big holiday-ish thing coming up that we might want to work into the Pry, even though no one has talked about it. To me, Thanksgiving and Christmas are big family holidays, so it would make sense that people weren’t around the Prytaneum for any parties or whatnot. But New Year can be a different story. SO, I’m wondering if any of you would want an ORP or be up for it?
If not, no worries. The new year is closing in quickly, and people may not want to drag it on. And, after all, we don’t know how quickly into the new year disaster will strike again. ;P
But there were a few thoughts passed around about it in Slack. One is the obvious ORP that we’ve done in the past – people post and interact, etc as they please like in a normal RP. Aside from that, people could just organize groups if they think their characters would make a point of hanging out with each other and having an adventure of their own and have Group RPs and such. But there was an alternative suggested by Blue that I think might work to have character still interacting, but also being off and doing their own thing in different places – or even being in groups, but not going through the process of having to wait for everyone and taking a bit to actually finish.
Blue’s suggestion is a Drabble RP. The way that it works, from my understanding (and of course she can explain better or expand on my explanation or correct me as she sees fit), is that each person can post small blurbs, essentially, that highlight different moments in their night. Others can respond to these, or they can stand on their own as an important thing. This would allow for one person to be somewhere, and still think to call or text someone else. Or could allow for group interactions and how they affect each character, but just with different, important snippets for each. You could fill this in however you like with chatter on Slack (or in PMs or some such) and decide what to highlight, what all else happens, how it affects characters, etc. But this also means we maybe don’t have to wait quite as long for other people to post and for things to come around to what may be important~ It could work. I’m interested in giving it a shot – if not for this holiday, maybe for some other event, anyway. Are you all at all interested?
In any case, let me know what you all think below? Or, I also added a poll~
Feel free to try and coordinate with other people if you do decide you want a Group RP, or maybe if you think the Drabble RP might be a good deal, you can start chatting about groups or interactions (texts, phone calls, video calls, etc) that could happen and what you might highlight from them, etc. :’D

I think a drabble RP would make a lot of sense! Quick to put together, simple, and compensates for anywhere a character might end up being! :D

I love the idea of a drabble RP! It sounds like it would fit the various options for being places that the Chosen have at their disposal, and be a lot of fun besides. Now I have to figure out if Rob would go back to San Francisco, or to London, and who he'd contact out of the other Chosen... XD

I think the drabble could work.
Would it be easier to put a header at the top of posts so people could find relevant posts?
Like:
At the Prytaneum Party
In New York City at Time's Square
And then posting their RP replies?

Ky -- that's essentially what I was thinking? That at the top of each post, people could post, in bold, where their character is? And perhaps what they're doing? Similar to what you suggested.
Ex:
Prytaneum, Aprhodite Dorm
Prytaneum, Party in the Gym
New York City, Party of Friends
Times Square, Watching the Ball Drop
Denver, Downtown Fireworks
etc. Just the place they are and keywords as to where they're checking in from, I guess? That way two characters could be in the same city doing different things and we recognize that they aren't together, I guess...

I'd like to keep Zan away from any actual gatherings of Chosen because I'm not caught up with things, so the freedom to text or have brief meetings in the halls on the way to outside festivities would be ideal. <3
