After a chat with one of his contacts Bushi found himself in a small alley within Sulburi, seeking out a litter of perzi that were supposed to be located there. He had been considering trying to get his hands on one of the odd little felines for his children but hadn't gone out to seek one of them yet. What was better then a litter of strays though? If he was able to get his hands on one of them that meant that he wouldn't have to pay the prices that some breeders within Oba charged for a perzi that had 'good bloodlines' as he saw that to be a waste of money. What was so good about a cat with good bloodlines? Especially since a stray could be tamed and made into just as good of a pet if not better. Strays didn't have homes after all and it made them appreciate a home and owner that much more.

Glancing from side to side he gave a humming sounds before he turned to look at Aatos, "You wait there, don't let them leave this way if you see them." He said, heading into the alley, his eyes scanning the area around himself. He didn't see the kittens straight away but after a ways into the alley he could see them moving around. They were still fairly small, though that made it a bit more difficult when it came to them being able to escape into small spaces that Bushi could never fit in. Still, he at least knew that the information was correct in that the little ones had taken over this alley way. Now to try to get his hands one of them.

"Alright kitties, time to come out and make this easier on the lot of us." He called out to them as he walked forward leaning over to attempt to scoop one of them up. He tried... but missed as he made the attempt at grabbing the little critter. They were a little faster then they looked, not to mention a lot more squirmy then they looked as well. No matter, it wasn't as though he had thought that this would be easy. Nothing ever seemed to be when it came to the times that Bushi tried to capture things after all. Just thinking back on when he tried to catch Profit made him hope that this would be a bit easier on him. He wasn't exactly a spry sort after all.

He squatted down, making another grab at one of the kittens, and this time he was able to scoop it up for a moment. He gave a bit of a smile before the creature suddenly became a hissing ball of claws that was quick to make its escape. He blinked a couple times as he watched the creatures rush away from him before he shook his head, "Really, little beast? Alright... well, I need to try again..." Giving a smile he started forward once more toward where the best had retreated in hopes of scooping it up once more.

Bushi squatted down to look under the stack of boxes that he'd watched the little kitten retreat to, reaching under it to try to get his hands on the little ball of claws again. He made a grasping motion, moving his hand from side to side, before bumping the kitten. He scooped it up once more and watched as yet again it started to hiss and claw at him. He was rather glad that he'd thought to wear gloves on this venture or else he would probably have been torn up already by now. Giving a shake of his head he said, "It won't be so bad if you just let me catch you, little kitten. You will end up as a spoiled little beast, of this I can assure you."

It didn't seem as though the little kitty wanted that though as it squirmed and flailed until it was able to get out of his hold once more. After it did he ran, hiding under a new spot to hide itself. Giving a bit of a sigh the big man stood back upright, turning to check on Aatos who was waiting where he'd left him. The big turtle was doing his best to keep the kittens from escaping, which made him smile a bit, "Good, good. You keep it up Aatos and we might be able to do this with time!"

After reassuring the bushi that he was doing well he turned his attention back to trying to figure where the little ones were hiding now. They were moving from place to place in the alleyway meaning they were going to be playing hide and seek for a bit.

After he lost track of the kitten that he'd captured twice in a row it seemed as though the alleyway had gone rather quiet, as though the little kittens had just vanished. He knew that wasn't the case though. In fact he was more then certain that they were just hiding and remaining silent in hopes that he would just get bored and leave. That was something that he didn't plan on doing as he wanted to get his hands on at least one of the little kittens for his children. The only real problem that he could foresee would be that skulking about in an alleyway like this might seem odd to some... but then again it wasn't as though Bushi didn't already have a reputation of sorts.

Squatting down he looked for the kittens under a stack of pallets and caught sight of one of them. Giving a bit of a smile he said, "Ahhh, there you are." It wasn't the same one that he'd caught before but he didn't mind. It didn't have to a specific kitten, it just had to be a kitten. He was sure that getting a kitten would make it easier for the beast to be tamed so that it would play nice with the twins while an adult would just be too dangerous.

"Come on, kitten. You should just make this easier for everyone one of us involved." He said, reaching under the pallets in hopes of snagging the kitten though the moment his hand got close it ran... which caused the other kitten that was also hiding under there to scatter as well. Giving a sigh he did his best to try to catch the pair... only to miss out on getting either of them. Giving a bit of a sigh he said, "Really? Trying to make it difficult on me, huh?" Well, he couldn't very well just give up now. Not when they weren't so much trying to escape the alleyway but instead just trying to find new hiding spots to escape to.

This time the kittens had split up, heading to opposite sides of the alleyway. One of them disappeared behind some random barrels while the other just ran into a wall and stood there, eyes wide. It was that kitten that he walked toward, reaching a hand out toward the little beast, and picked it up, "Huh, you're a cute one. So, do you want to come home with me?" He asked of the beast that was instantly squirming the moment that he picked it up. He would say that it was a 'no' but that he didn't mean that he was going to give up on the little creature so easily.

Blowing his bangs out of his eyes he told the squirming kitten, "You know it would make it a lot easier on the both of us if you just gave up and let me bring you home with me." It would make it easier but that didn't mean that it would happen.

There was a moment where he almost thought that the kitten that he'd picked up might be alright with the idea of going home with him. He thought that... but then it started to flail about and dove out of his hands. He scrambled a couple times, trying to catch hold of the kitten again, but watched it as it ran away from him. It bumped into the wall about before rushing off to the side, diving within some old, tangled up netting, and was out of his sight within a moment.

He blinked a couple times then said, "You're a quick one, if a bit dopey." He said, feeling that the creature probably would have been better off if it didn't keep bumping into things during its attempts at retreating. Shaking his head he walked over to the nets, setting about digging through them, trying to spot the little kitten again. No luck though, he didn't see it anywhere within the tangle of nets meaning that it had likely moved on to another hiding spot?

Giving a humming sound he stood upright, stretched out all over, and then crossed his arms over his chest. It seemed as though he'd lost sight of them all again. That meant he was going to have to start the game all over again, but here was to hoping he might be able to find another of the little kittens. Where... where... where were the little ones? It was quiet again, meaning that they had to be hiding and staying still once more. It would make this a little harder but he'd find them again!

It took a bit of time before Bushi was able to spot the kittens again. It was mostly luck on his part as he bumped into something in his search which caused a bit of a racket that caused the kittens to scatter from their hiding spots. They were out in the open for a short amount of time before they were scrambling to find new places to hide that would be out of Bushi's sight, though the time that they were visible was enough for him to be able to follow along after at least one of them. He followed along after that one, wondering if he might be able to catch up before it was able to sneak away. He would make a couple more attempts at this but he couldn't exactly stay out all night at this since he was going to be meeting up with some of his contacts tonight. That was the main reason for him coming to Sulburi while the kittens were a possible extra prize.

Squatting down he looked around under the pile that the little kitten had gone under, giving a little smile, "There you are again. Come on, little kitten, no more hiding. We aren't going to become friends if you keep hiding." He said, reaching under the pile to try to scoop up the little beast... and upon missing watched it as it ran off to one side. He blinked a couple times, turning to watch it go, then shook his head as the kitten managed to corner itself. Pushing to his feet he followed along after the little kitten, "Alright, I guess we can keep at this for a while longer." At least until the time for the meeting got closer that was. Once it came closer to that time then he would have to bail out on this and hope that the kittens didn't scatter while he was gone. Either they would move on to another place to hide out or someone else might come in to pick them up. It was hard to say though, some strays found homes, others were ignored. It was just the way of things, something that he knew personally.

After another few moments of hide and seek against the kittens later and he was able to find them once more as they went walking along under and between things that Bushi could not. They really were smart little beasts, weren't they? It was the reason why he felt that they would make such good pets for his children but thus far he was just not having any luck when it came to actually catching one of the little things. Soon, he hoped, he would be able to keep his hands on one of them. He really did want to do that, feeling it would be best to give a stray a home though.

"Ah! There you are." He said, walking toward where one of the kittens was, squatting down, and made another attempt at scooping it up with his gloved hands.

The little kitten that he scooped up seemed to go stock still in Bushi's grasp, starring at him with rather wide eyes, before it gave a rather pathetic sort of mewling sound. He gave a sighing sound and said, "It's not that bad..." He was about to pet the kitten when another of them suddenly appeared out of no where and attacked his leg. He gave a jolt of surprised, fumbled, and the kitten in his hands instantly bolted along with its more aggressive sibling.

Giving a little sigh Bushi looked down at where the kitten had attacked, giving a shake of his head, "That wasn't very nice." He muttered, leaning over to rub a hand against his leg, watching as the pair vanished back into hiding once more. It seemed as though the pair weren't really pleased with the idea of becoming pets for his children, huh? Well, he'd given a little bit longer but given the light over head he knew he was running out of time. He had an important meeting to deal with after all and he couldn't chase around kittens all night. He'd been more willing to chase Profit around because she was going to help make him some money... the kittens on the other hand were just going to be freeloaders.

"Alright... I think I might make another attempt or two but then it's time for us to get going." Bushi said to Aatos who stood up, turning to stare at Bushi, waiting for him to give up on the kittens.

[color=darkmagenta][size=10][u][b]Ralena Saint Mantis[/b][/u] Ralena was watching Jules closely and she had to smile. "I firmly believe that she shouldn't just rely on her summoning or spells. As did Lynnette. There will be situations where she'll need a decent weapon to defend herself with, and no way to call on Seraphius or anybody else." Ralena tapped her dagger thoughtfully. Then there was also the augment. "I'm thinking of augmenting it with something... a little more complicated than usual. The type of augments you don't see too often cause their hard to put on and even harder to use and keep charged. It's for her seventeenth birthday if you're wondering. Belated seventeenth actually, Ray's a harvest season baby. She just had her birthday a week and a bit ago." Ralena hummed to herself before slinging an arm over Jules' shoulder. "Alright then. We'll get something to eat now. And I'll come back tomorrow, and you can wait for me too if you'd like. Actually, you could even come with me when I pick up the daggers and help me augment them if you want?" The idea was a pleasant one. Some company, and no work. God, she loved weekends. "Well, is it a date?" [/size][/color]
