Been years since I even thought about that show. I should really watch it again. It was one of my favorites growing up.

Definitely one of my favorite animes. Im deciding on whether or not watch Gunbuster and its sequels next, or finishing Vision of Escaflowne next. Im on an older anime kick for some reason. surprised

A lot of older anime really shines nowadays. It's more noticeable how much work they put into the medium when it can still hold up against the bright and shiny new styles and technologies of today. I would cite Dragon Ball Z vs Dragon Ball Super as an example, even if DBZ isn't as old as some others. Super is definitely more vibrant against Z's grittier designs, but it looks too clean. Not to say modern anime aren't without their charms, of course.

I actually never got around to watching Escaflowne as a kid. I really should. I heard some good things.
