According to reports from the San Diego Police Department and the San Diego Zoo; Guy Cancer had been intoxicated, when he went to the Zoo after hours, bribed his way through security and several employees, of around $360k, so that he could "See the lions up close."
When he was unable to go fully inside the lion enclosure, he assaulted two employees, took the keys, and shut himself in.
Attacking the male lion, he was quickly jumped on by another, as the two lions mauled him to death.
Guy Cancer was 48 years old.
