Sydney sat, pensive upon her perching stone. She watched the current sweep through the coral, dragging the softer segments back and forth. Above, she spotted a young Glimmer pup playing happily in the moving tide. Her mouth opened in a wide yawn and she lifted her fin to her mouth, licking a couple of times as a cat would do. It would be time for her to leave soon, and go in search of her other forms...

Raine was still glancing out at the bay where the strange sounds were coming from when she suddenly felt...strange. She closed her eyes tightly, trying to figure out what was going on. A swift wave of power and strength coursed through her body and she opened her eyes, surprised to note that she had changed. What the...? I...grew? Am I...all grown up now? Her growth distracted her enough that she forgot about the eerie sounds from the bay...for now...

Sydney glided past Raine swiftly, flicking her side with her tail in play. "Come play with me!" She scooped up some smooth pebbles from the sandy bottom and tossed them up into the water. She butted a few, sending them flitting towards Raine.

Raine whirled around in surprise, automatically batting one of the pebbles back. She reached to swack another with her tail, missing horribly. "Well...so much for that," she murmured to herself before looking up at the other Glimmer again. She stared for a moment, taking in the dangerous looking horn on her head to the dark, but beautiful mottled skin of the new arrival. "I...I was starting to wonder if I was the only one here... It's nice to meet you. My name is Raine."

Sydney giggled, a strange sound to her own ears, "I am Sydney." She bent low and nuzzled a crimson colored crab out from under a clump of sand. "Maybe there will be more friends for you soon!" Flipping slightly to the side, she tossed Raine the crab, then stared at her intently. She suddenly felt very self conscious about her differences from normal glimmers...
Shaking her head, she grinned toothily at Raine once again, "eat," she gestured to the crab, "lunch!"

Raine was startled, catching the crab reflexively. At the word "lunch," she suddenly realized how hungry she was, but she had no idea what to do with the crab. So far, she'd been getting by on the delicious little shrimp that swirled in schools near the water's surface, but the current little hard-shelled creature perplexed her. Holding the crab carefully in her front flippers, she looked at it curiously for a moment before sniffing it, crying out as one of the pinchers locked on her nose.

Sydney scooped up a crab of her own, then swam slowly to a large smooth rock. She clicked her teeth to get Raine's attention and when she was certain the other Glimmer was watching, she bashed the crab against the rock swiftly. The claws abruptly stopped moving, and after another hit against the rock the top of the shell came off easily. "Can't fight back now!" Sydney smiled, lifting the crab to her mouth and scooping at the meat with her muzzle. She tore at the meat, chewing happily. "It's messy sometimes to eat. But gulls taste best!"

Still in somewhat of a daze from hatching, the shy heero swam cautiously in the blue waters of the ocean. Gradually his fears of the unknown gave way to his curiosity when he saw a small fish swim by. His ruby red eyes continued to follow the little fish's every move until it was out of sight.

All of a sudden Heero started to hear some small grumbles and was a little nervous until he realize that the strange sound were coming from his empty stomach. Heero soon started to wish that he had never let that little fish swim away. "Grrr I can't believe I let that one get away", heero said to himslef as his stomach grumbled once more. So Heero decided to hide in a dark cave and once a fish passed by he would eat it. It didn't take long for him to race up to the unsuspecting fish and swallow it in one gulp but soon he heard strange noises in the distance so he decided to go find out what it was all about.

heero started to approach the area with caution and to his surprise he found two other glimmers. He wasn't sure how they would react to his presence so he remained hidden in the shadows with his glowing red eyes being the only thing showing.

Raine watched Sydney carefully, swatting at the crab to get it to let go of her nose. She grabbed it, looking for a rock similar to the one Sydney had used and mimicked what she'd just been shown. She smiled slightly once the creature stopped moving. Show him to pinch my nose... She sniffed curiously at the meat within the shell before taking a tentative nibble. "Mmm...this is pretty good!" She giggled, quickly cleaning out the shell.
Keeva swam along quietly, still trying to take in his new surroundings and wondering if anyone else was around. He thought he heard something off to his left, so he turned and headed that way. I can't be the only one in this whole lake... Soon, two older Glimmers came into view. They seemed to be eating something...and nearby, another Glimmer hovered off to the side. Wow...so many...all at once... He gulped nervously, suddenly shy about trying to talk to any of them...

Indivar left his pearl with a song. It was a lullaby, describing the peace of an infant's rest. How it came to him, he didn't know. It was just always there in his heart and mind. With a light flick of his tail, the glimmer pup drifted out of the dark cave that house his pearl and took his first glance into the outside world. It was incredible. There were all sorts of songs about, the music of the watery depths. It was almost overwhelming. But Indivar was not particularly frightened, simply awed. He wasn't even able to notice the other Glimmers swimming about nearby.

Just keeping watch with those fiery eyes Heero stood there; not sure what to do. He figured that he would watch them for a while and if they seemed friendly enough he might reveal himself to them but if not then he would just go off in search of answers to his many questions about the world.

Sydney chewed one of the crab legs playfully, wiggling it around with her teeth so that it almost looked like she was sucking a straw ((no, she doesn't know what a straw is... I'm just describing xp )) She tilted her head to the side, watching Raine eat the crab and nodding in satisfaction. "I will teach you how to hunt birds later," she discarded the remains of her crab and flipped upside down, drifting just a bit above the ocean floor. Somewhere, a hint of movement and a flash of jeweled red caught her eye. She immediately thought it was a Gohm, and her muscles tensed in anticipation of a fight.... but this was much smaller than a Gohm... and there was no death eerie song. She focused her eyes on the small red eyes, finding that they belonged to a deep blue frame... a small frame. It was another glimmer.
