xxxElizabeth is the second child of Henry and Janice Scott, born at the University College Hospital. She has an older brother named Bradley. Her mother had her own Herbology practice and her father worked as a magical veterinarian. When she was four, her second brother Alexander was born and she was overjoyed to be a big sister. She also discovered her love of music at that age and her parents started her on violin lessons. Her last brother, named Maddox, was born when she was seven. Elizabeth never had a show of magic before her Hogwarts letter arrived, which had her parents fearful that she might be a squib. Their fears weren't realized thankfully, and she was overjoyed when her letter arrived on her eleventh birthday.

xxxLiz had such a great time on the train ride to school, despite getting teased by her brother for half of the ride. When she arrived at school, she was sorted into Ravenclaw thanks to her inquisitive nature and her love for books. The girl immediately befriended just about everyone in her year. She also joined the music club, the culinary club, and discovered Dungeons and Dragons in the Adventurer's Guild. Her love of thinking games made her excel at the game.

xxxAs her schooling progressed, Lizzy learned about new genres of music and began experimenting with different instruments. Though she enjoyed playing some new instruments, none of them really stuck with her. Her love for different kinds of music also led to her embracing some dangerous behaviors. When she was fifteen, she sneaked out of her parents' house to attend a concert in downtown London. There she met a Muggle boy named Oliver Wright. The two started dating in secret and she enjoyed the adventurous lifestyle. It was like the one she'd read about in many books.

xxxIt was hard to keep the secret about her magical school from her boyfriend, but she wrote him frequent letters. They spent practically all of her time home together, going to shows in London, or simply just listening to music and hanging out. Elizabeth told her boyfriend they were going to get married and tour the world together when she graduated. They shared their dream of being in a band. She did well on her exams despite her dream of joining a bad.

xxxAfter graduating, Liz and Ollie tried to make it big with their band Punk Rock Brigade. Her parents urged her to try and find a real job, but they were insistent that they were going to make it big. They were also going to shows almost every night to try and build a reputation. Less than a year after graduating, Elizabeth learned she was pregnant. It was a sobering moment for her and she realized that she couldn't continue her behaviors. She sought a job at the Ministry and urged Oliver to get a real job as well to help support their baby. Even though she abandoned their dream of making their band big, Ollie kept trying to make it work. He was working part time as a bartender and bouncer at a local club. Their first child, Olivia Elizabeth, was born at Westminster Hospital.

xxxIt was tough being a young mother and working hard to support the family. Her parents helped a little, but they expected her to be an adult and support herself. She was working a lot of late nights and that caused Ollie to become suspicious that she might be cheating. He followed her one night and accidentally discovered the Ministry. Liz had to explain the magical world to him because he was hysterical. It took him about a week to come to terms with it, but then he proposed to her. They got married at People's Park Tavern.

xxxA few years after they got married, Liz and Ollie welcomed their second child, Benjamin Leo, into the world. He was named after both of their grandfathers. It was also around this time that Oliver began to drink heavily. He blamed his drinking on the lack of gigs the band was getting and that he worked in a bar. Liz tried to get him to stop drinking, but she was unsuccessful.

xxxOlivia seemed to inherit her parents' love for music and by the time she was eleven, she already knew how to play the guitar, drums, and violin. When her Hogwarts letter arrived, Liz explained Hogwarts to both Ollie and Olivia and excitedly took her daughter to Diagon to go school shopping. Her daughter's progression through school began to trouble her though. Liv was starting to act more like Ollie and less like her. Her behavior also degraded and the girl became rebellious. At least Benji seemed more like his mother and preferred reading to... anything really.

xxxIt all came to a head when Olivia wanted to go see a show in London during the summer between her third and fourth year. Liz had forbid her from going because she was too young, and she was trying to prevent Liv from going down the same path as her. But much like her, Liv sneaked out to attend the show. Elizabeth grounded her for sneaking out, but Ollie let her go out anyway, in defiance of her punishment. Liz couldn't take it anymore and kicked Oliver out.

xxxLiz and Liv seemed to be at war after that. Olivia blamed Elizabeth for kicking her father out, and not him for his alcoholism and complete disregard for being a parent. Since Oliver refused to get clean or find a job, Liz started divorce proceedings. When Olivia found out about it, she became furious. The teen refused to speak with Elizabeth. Oliver eventually came up with the brilliant idea to take Olivia and flee the country, since their divorce proceedings made it clear he would lose any custody of the children. He was quickly captured, thankfully, and wound up going to prison. Elizabeth was conflicted over this though and worked with the courts to get him charged with a lesser sentence if he completed a rehabilitation program.

xxxShe continued to visit him weekly in prison to support him during his rehab and helped him get his GSCEs completed. He actually seemed intent on fixing his life, which brought some hope back to Elizabeth's heart. She also poured out her frustrations with Olivia to him and he promised he would fix that for her. When Olivia came home for summer break, all she wanted was to see her father. After their visit to the prison, Liz and Liv came home. But a short while after, Olivia came out of her room bawling and hugged Liz. She was shocked naturally, but accepted her daughter's embrace.

xxxThe two patched up their relationship and even got their eyebrow pierced together. Liz finally shared some of her troubled youth with her children and the three made a promise to never let emotions get in the way of being a family. Over the next winter break, Liz took Liv, Roxie, and Benson, Olivia's two best friends, to a concert to celebrate her daughter's sixteen birthday. Olivia inadvertently revealed the magical world to Benson, who was a Muggle. Liz prepared to wipe her memory, but Liv and Bennie begged her not to, so Elizabeth wound up helping Benson study for her WOMBAT exams. That winter, Benjamin received his acceptance letter for Hogwarts as well.

xxxElizabeth was there to pick up Oliver when he was finally released from prison after completing his time. The two stayed close and when Oliver got a job working at a record label in the mail room, he took Liz out to dinner to thank her. They had so much fun, it reminded them of the old days when they were young. That, plus the fact that Oliver was sober and gainfully employed led to them going out on a date. The two of them vowed to keep it quiet around their kids since they didn't know what this was or if it would last.
