xxxℬ𝓲𝓸𝓰𝓻𝓪𝓹𝓱𝔂xxxxxx𝒞𝒽𝒾𝓁𝒹𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxxxxxJessica is the fourth and final child of George and Victoria Whittaker, also born at Glendale Memorial Hospital in sunny Los Angeles, California. She has two older brothers, Alvin and Simon, and one older sister named Lizzie. Unbeknownst to the family, her father George was a Squib and had been adopted by her grandfathers. However, the family did find out that magic was real when Simon turned eleven and a school representative arrived. Jessie was four when her brother Si went off to Salem Witches' Institute. Alvin was upset that he wasn't magical too. At the age of six, Jessie got into skateboarding and would routinely visit the many skate parks in LA. When Lizzie turned eleven, the family expected the representative from the school to show up again, but alas, they didn't. Lizzie was upset, much like Alvin had been. She was even more upset when, on Jessica's eleventh birthday, the representative showed up again.xxx𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈xxxxxxJessie was looking forward to Si being able to show her around Salem, but he had graduated the year before. However, Jessie still made a ton of friends her first year. She was placed into the Coyote house, which made sense for her active self. The girl also brought along her skateboard, which grew into her little group of friends becoming skate junkies. Jessie also joined the Quidditch team first year, since they were in need of a seeker.
xxxHer second year was another whirlwind of activity, with her joining the Salem Post, the school's newspaper. The little group of skateboard junkies grew and became an unofficial club. This year she also managed to win one of the five games.
xxxDuring her third year, Jess was excited again to play Quidditch. She'd spent some time over the summer practicing and she was getting better at it. She had a breaking story that ran through the Post and even caught the attention of the local magical police. This year, she won three of the five games and placed her house third in the cup.
xxxOver the summer, tragedy struck the family when Si's girlfriend declined his marriage proposal and broke up with him. He insisted he was fine, but everyone could tell how deeply depressed he was. Jess didn't want to leave her brother, but school called. Back at school, Jessie once again joined the Quidditch team, but this time as Vice Captain. She was also thrust forward in the Post, now as a Junior Editor. She managed to win four of the five games, this time taking second place in the cup.
xxxWhen she turned home for summer, she learned that Simon had moved again, but this time out of the country! He'd moved all the way to Scotland. She also got to meet her first nibling, her brother Alvin's son George. Going back to school for her fifth year, she was promoted to Lead Reporter for the Post. She retained her rank of Vice Captain in Quidditch. This time, she won all five games and clinched first place in the cup. When her exams came up, she did her best, but still failed the three worst classes.
xxxMoving into sixth year, she began to date a boy from her class named Ethan Strait. He was one of her opposing seekers, representing Firefly house. Though the two were lovebirds, they were still rivals on the pitch. This year also saw Jessica take the Captain position. She led the team to their second back to back victory, despite only winning four of the five games that season.
xxxThe summer between sixth and seventh year, Ethan caught Jessica cheating on him with a boy named Tyler Beck. After an argument, he broke up with her, but she didn't mind. Jessica was wild and free and had four more boyfriends throughout the course of seventh year. She kept writing for the Post, as well as playing Quidditch. However, because she was focused on her studies, they only came in second that year, losing to Firefly house. Jess managed to pull all passing grades on her WITS exams.xxx𝒜𝒹𝓊𝓁𝓉𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxxxxxUpon graduation, Jess returned home to live with her parents for a little while. She applied to several papers in the area, both Muggle and Magical, trying to continue her work from the Post. But it seemed much harder to get a job doing actual reporting than it had been at school. Most of the offers she'd received had been editing and things like that, which she'd considered boring.
xxxJess bounced around several boring jobs, earning some money to keep herself afloat, but not enough to afford her own place. Finally it seemed like favor was turning towards her. A paper in the Midwest was offering her a job. She packed up some of her stuff and drove out to St Louis. When she submitted her first article though, the owner of the paper simply laughed at her and said she would just be editing, not writing. Jess got pissed off, because that was not the offer she'd received. In the ensuing argument, she punched him and was arrested. Thankfully though, he decided not to press charges and she was released.
