xxx⚔PERSONALITY🗡xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx INTUITIVE/ FOCUSED Aella is a person of extreme intuition, manifested most clearly in her physicality and penchant for violence. Small tells and environmental cues hit her and tell her immediately what is possible, how to maneuver, or where and how to strike. This intuition has been trained, even young, by training and practice, and her focus guided by master social manipulators. If Aella knows what to do or has a goal, she can usually thrive and focus. However, in open-ended or multiple end-goal situations though, like most social situations, her intuitive sense of things is an overwhelming mess. She struggles with these, not sure where a sense of unease or distraction is coming from, what to do with it, or how to craft the words that might trigger the best response.
CONFLICTED If she’s given a direction, Aella can relax and just focus on that– in the heat of a moment like a sport or combat scenario she can quickly decide and act, but the more philosophical and abstract a problem or situation, the more Aella struggles. Morally, Aella very much wants to uphold the ideals of her lost sister and be a “good girl”, but she has only been good at destructive things and enjoys the thrill of being good at these. When presented with lots of options, Aella considers, reconsiders, considers what Aria might do, reconsiders, considers how this might affect others, reconsiders again, and finally asks for help. Otherwise, she worries that she’s making a mistake, that she’s doing something wrong that will mess something up.
OBEDIENT Aella has always had a nagging feeling that she has to do what people tell her to, and do so promptly. It’s also the only time she doesn’t overthink– she just follows their direction. Aella is confident she can pilot the action, but she would much rather just rely on her trusted people to point her in the right direction or approach.
STOIC Aella isn’t particularly solitary, but she doesn’t emote naturally and doesn’t usually volunteer information outside of to Phoebe, Rose, and Liam. She’s not dishonest–If asked directly by an authority figure, she’ll dutifully report events as truthfully as she can. Part of her has rationalized that it is smart to always withhold a little information or ability to maintain an advantage, but this unforthcoming side comes perhaps more from not knowing how to express herself or her feelings well. Aella knows she doesn’t feel emotions as strongly as others do, but she does feel, so hates being considered stoic or “dead inside”.
FEARLESS When it comes to tests of courage, danger, or potentially embarrassing situations, Aella never seems to think much of it. While seemingly small emotional or ethical decisions get her anxious, things considered stressful or dangerous don’t give her pause. She isn’t dramatic or emotive, but she has never doubted she can at least go and try, and in turn, Aella has found she thrives in high-adrenaline situations and performs well under pressure – test anxiety and stage fright have never gotten to her.

xxx⚔BACKSTORY🗡xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ⚔🗡EARLY CHILDHOOD Varenia Aella Siddall was born to Sera Meredith Carver, fathered by Everett Siddall under the imperious curse. She had two half-siblings, Nimbus and Aria Siddall, born to Everett’s late wife Nari Choi. Sera, Everett, and Aria were all killed at the Siddall Bloodbath after tensions between Nim and Sera exploded in the Summer of 2052. Varenia, who preferred Aella because she constantly misspelled her own name as a toddler, was thus raised by Nim with support from his boyfriend, Wren Winchester, after the two finished at Hogwarts. Wren’s own family was killed a couple years afterwards, at the Winchester Massacre, and Aella, along with Robin and Phoebe Winchester, were taken under the guardianship of Nimbus and Wren.
Aella didn’t like public school– she loved classes and learning even if she wasn’t always great at it, but it meant she was away from Phoebe, who had been a constant companion despite being 2 years older. For the first year at school on her own though, Aella was lonely and seen as weird for not emoting. She was occasionally the subject of curious pokes or attempts to get her to react, some harmless, some more aggressive. When she was 9, Aella was both understanding and heartbroken when Phoebe elected to attend Long Jiang School of Magic instead of Hogwarts. The two kept up frequent letters and calls. In Phoebe’s absence though, Aella grew even closer to her adopted brother Ambrose, and despite Nim’s estrangement from their mom, the twins Liam and Lark Knapp.
