It was about time Dubhe stopped feeling like showing others her homeworld was humiliating due to the implications of a horrifying end. Maybe showing Andreiya helped, or trying to work at improving it, but she wasn 't feeling monsterous as the three arrived, arms loaded with tools and plants and seeds to plant. Coming prepared wasn't a bad thing. They planned to rejuvenate a park. They had plants from Earth and from Andreiya most compatible with the dirt and atmosphere, likely to thrive, possib ly even breed or crossbreed and fill niches. They had.... A chance. Dubhe set the plants in her arms down along with several tools and stretched out, a moment, looking to her friends with a big, bright smile on her face. "I was thinking we could start with this park. And I can see if there's any seeds worth planting in some of the buildings too. Just in case." Dubhe offered helpfully. The more they planted the better for healing - because it might help kick the local ecosystem into gear. Encourage plants to flourish more. Ebncourage healing."Any opinions?"

To say that Andreiya was excited was an understatement, but he hid it moderately well despite the way he rocked from heel to toe. He had a backpack full of necessities, and what he couldn’t fit there, he carried.
He was clearly here to help, and he had big plans and expectations for how much they’d be able to accomplish.
“In the buildings?” Andreiya asked, tilting his head just slightly. “In pots? …Or on the ground?”
Who was he to question what she wanted to do on her world?
His face was scrunched up, though. If he thought he was hiding his alarm well, he wasn’t.

Subra couldn't remember the last time she was on a homeworld that wasn't her own. And they were planting flowers! She didn't know you could do that! Maybe...she should look into what it might take on her own world? Though...she also just...needed to catalogue more of what was already on her world, aside from the ancient trees and the very rare ruin.
"In the buildings might be pushing it for now. Especially if the only pollinator you have right now is...the wind." She looked thoughtful. "Do you have any bugs here? I know my world doesn't have any. At least...not last I noticed?" She was mostly along to help with physical labor and emotional support, though she did have more than her fair share of gardening experience.
Just mostly in terms of edible things, not straight flowers.

Dubhe hummed, leading them into a park central to the city. The plants there already were vibrant and green, a few wild flowers in pinklk and white fluttering in the breeze as she set what she was carrying down, opening her pocket dimension - pocket dimensions! Susanoo told her after learning from Cardinal and she was using it now! - to produce a few flowers from the garden center, including a full pan of violets - Ratyj natives related enough to Dubhe that she was silently elated to bring them, after her talk with her grandfather. "Well, the ground has them too, and we should check where they're laying,." Dubhe blinked slowly, thinking back to her lessons! LESSONS! iun gardening from her grandfather. "Actually, when I was picking up starter plants to helop from Andreiya's list of good plants I ran into my grandfather, and he gardens - I can bring you to his hopuse some3day Andreiya, he's... Difficult but he's devotyed to his garden, if you mention research he might be willing to share, I can ask if you're interested - but he did mention seeds can travel on the wind, but, we can try germinating seeds in paper towerls if we stay a couple days -- assuming you can, Siubra, with school - and see what sprouts. As for buildings, I think there might be ancient garden shops, but I know the palace had a science wing, from my exploration. It's the most stable building here too -- so it's possible there's samples of seeds from plants we might not find here in the capital. And opf course we can bring them to Earth if there's enough to try sprouting!" Dubhe paused again, turning pink. "I mean., I could take some extra seedlings resembling plants gropwing well and plant them in the garden I started at hopme.... As for pollinators, Andreiya's working on some artificial drone type pollinators. I'm still willing to test code. I haven't... Seen insects yet but... Maybe they're like tardigrades? Hibernating underground until the world is able to sustain them again?" Dubhe wasn't entirely sure. "I know the machine that likely,,, Well... Wiped out things is broken and to be sure I flat out ensured it'll never work again." A sigh. She mentally "thanked" her past life's sire for that particular stressor.

Andreiya shrugged. “Difficult people do not bother me! I am used to the people of Earth. You are all difficult.” He paused, and then stood a little straighter. His face, naturally pink, darkened slightly. “I mean! Not all of you. I am learning to like some of you! But you are all very different from the people of Velencya. It is difficult to keep up sometimes. But, I am getting much better.”
He sounded confident, but looked between the two quickly, as if to make sure he had not ruffled too many feathers.
“I will share my artificial pollinators with you, for example. I would not do that for just anyone! I am still working out some of the kinks. But I think They should be effective as long as you are being careful with them.”
He couldn’t really stay for days–where would he sleep? He couldn’t let his guard down. And people needed him, and his plants, and–
Oh, maybe she wasn’t even talking to him. He shook his head, sucked in a breath, and stood up straight.
“It should help bridge what your world can do now and what it is capable of. Perhaps if you are able to restore parts of it, the rest will follow. Will you let me install some cameras and sensors? It isn’t permanent. And I will not be nefarious! But it could help track growth. I’ve already prepared it. If you deny my request, I will not mope for long.”

Subra smiled sheepishly. "I can see what I can manage with school, but I make no guarantees I can take a lot of time off. One of my professors is..." Her smile shifted, turning into a pursing of her lips before she sighed heavily. "Traditional, and isn't fond of students being absent at all." And...oh, the poor...Velencian? Yeah, Velencian. The poor guy was trying so hard!
"You're fine!" Her mood shifted back to a positive one, trying to comfort him. "We humans are...kind of difficult even to each other. I can only imagine how hard it must be learning how to work with us when our myriad of cultures are entirely alien to you! So no offense taken, I promise." She hoped that she sounded comforting! Subra nudged Dubhe with her hip gently. "I think his ideas sound good, don't you? Better than what I could come up with, for sure."

"Valid. It could be something to plan in advance. Or I can figure a way out to spread tyhe work out." Dubhe rubbed her chin. "If you want, Andreiya, I can lend you some of my drones to dtudy. Most have cameras, so they're not as fancy as pollinators, buit it might be helpful if any kinks cause issues." Dubhe smiled. "And I'm not offended. It's a new culture with new culturalk norms. It's just because different peoples had different soilutions for different social needs. There's nothing wrong with that. My grandfather's from ?Itraly, for exampole, he emigratedto the states with my grandmother in his twenties. I think he and my grandmother, Uncle Al, and - ugh - Uncle Valents ewere naturalized citizens. Mom and Uncle Vincent were born after coming to the states." Dubhe sighed, motioning. "And trust nem, part of what makes my grandfather difficult is culturalk." Dubhe absolutely understood the need for communication. Flexibility. "I trust you, Andreiya. I know you want to help. Besides, I... Kind of want to keep including you. And you're both welcome to see my home garden too. I've been using it as practice. I ended up getting legal custody of my cousin Ace, but he's a really good kid. Likes buirds. Likes birds a lot. Actually if you mention birds and pollinating plants, Andreiysa, he might ask for plants they'd be drawn to. He can... Use a good friend. Alsop ugh, let me guess, the no-absences tolerated teacher is the World History teacher." Dubhe remembered that one. Dubhe's nose wrinkled even as she bent, p[icking up a few dry looking seeds, and sighed, frowning. "Noboddy likes them. They're... Unpleasant." Dubhe shuddered. The senshi examined the seeds in her palm and fished some paper towels from her supplies, dampening them before hgently placing the seeds in them, and then placed them in a small sandwich bag, sighing. "I hope the palace conservatory has seeds in decent shape... I mean..." She looked worried at the baggue wiuth seeds set up for travel.. And germination, holding it to Andreiya helplessly. "Although they'll be protected from the elements."
