The blessing had come to fruition. And now with the little one blessed, Suku could ask - And hope - that this little one could help him out a bit.
Being a small kit that had just emerged, though, Suku had his doubts. His worries. They say the souls within the bowls can hear hat is around them. Was that true? Was that false? Aelius had not recalled hearing a name and thus came his name from Suku. There had been no last name that Suku personally had himself but 'Firewing' seemed all too fitting for Aelius.
But ah that was enough about that little line of thought. This newly emerged little one was right here in front of him. Hard to tell if there was a displeased glare being given to him or what though. Those eyes were blank white and glowy. Have he ever seen any phox around like that? Was this a curse of some sort? How would Suku ever be able to know?
"Hey there, little one... What's your name?"
"Blair." A quick reply.
So quick, Suku couldn't help but to blink and lift his head up in slight shock.
"Mommy is coming." Comes the little ones next lines.
Now Suku's ears laid back as a pang hit his heart. A frown formed upon his muzzle. Was this the kit being cryptic? Weird? Or was it something the little one heard in some moments before Aelius had found them? Though as Suku opened his mouth to speak, the kit rocks in its bowl.
"Mommy is coming. Blair. Mommy is coming."
"Is -- Blair? That is your name?"
"Blair is my name and Mommy is coming ~"
How could he get the kit to elaborate further? Did this poor thing get trauma as a bowl? Could you traumatize a bowl? Sometimes words was all it took to hurt, scare or traumatized after all. It didn't always have to be things you saw or felt. But all of this was so very. very, very heart breaking to Suku. Part of him understood Aelius and him practically saved this little one. but another part of him felt horrible. Terrible, even - And wanted him to feel like they had STOLEN Blair despite him rationally knowing that was far from the case here.
"Dad. Dad, hey -- Don't look so down. Alright?" Aelius gave Suku a pat to his back. "This just means there may be hope for this little one. A name, saying mommy is coming - Let us hope this is a good sign."
A small little smile. the only kind of smile Suku could muster up at the moment. "Yeah... Yeah, I..."
But oh he was starting to feel bad for a completely different reason now too.
What if they DID find the parents of Blair? And yet Suku had been unable to find any parents for Aelius. Although he knew he was more than enough for Aelius, something in Suku longed to find out if Aelius had parents or not as if it were some duty of his.
Or rather what if Blair went off when they were not paying any attention to them? He knew Aelius was a good kit and stayed by his side. Aelius loved and trusted him like he had been his true father. This little one clearly had parents. Had some semblance of having real actual parents out there. Parents that had been blessed with this bowl only to lose it. Or maybe Blair had been abandoned? But who would name a bowl and abandon it?
Those thoughts got snapped out of when Blair climbed out of their bowl and started to walk away from it. Only to stop after a few steps and sit down. After all a kit couldn't really venture too far from that bowl of theirs.
"Blair?" A curious tone from Suku.
"Mommy is coming. Blair. Blair. Blair."
"Oh, Blair, little one..." Suku walked over and ever so gently wrapped a tail around the little one and hoped such a gesture would be accepted.
"This is not mommy." Blair side, but did not bite nor push away the tail wrapped around them. Though curiously the mouth on their chest licks at the tail.
As weird as that had felt, Suku opted to ignore it in favor of hopefully offering the little one comfort first and foremost.
"We will find your mommy. Okay?"
"Mommy will find me."
"... If she does, even if I am not around, please go with her."
There is silence now. This kit was still small. Still young. Such a big, heavy request took a moment to truly process. Of they even truly processed it at all.
How long would this silence linger? Who would say the next word to break the silence? All Suku could do was think. Think.. Think...
What if the parents accused him of stealing the kit? that was a possibility. Or what if the parents got made at how he chose to raise a kit that was not his own? What if this. What if THAT? So many thoughts. So many possibilities. To be this worried was understandable. Maybe he was even a little scared and fearful - A way he had not felt with Aelius' bowl upon finding them all alone and abandoned.
Silence still lingered between them even as Blair wiggled out from the tail wrapped around him. Blair headed back to their bowl now and climbed back into the noodles to get comfy. Suku got up and followed the little kit, taking a seat in front of the bowl once Blair had settled into the comforts of it.
Aelius soon joined his fathers side and gave him a worried look. The gryphon was worried for Suku and Blair - And whatever may come from this whole entire situation they had seemingly ended up in. And yet no words were spoken between the three of them. For a moment it felt as though the silence is all they'd have for now until Blair spoke up -
"Mommy is coming."
Then promptly fell asleep.
