So some caterpillars escaped, huh? And this old man needed them back? Sounded like a fun little game of hid and seek to Suku - And a free adventure! Though a caterpillar may be hard to spot easily. From his knowledge they liked to blend in with their surroundings for more chance of survival, right? Perhaps he should have asked the old one what they looked like or at least asked for some hints. A little too late for that though as he had already flown off into the skies so that he may pick a spot to begin his search.
Suku landed near some water to begin his little search. Maybe the little bug would be thirsty? Hungry, maybe? Did caterpillars love to eat, eat, eat or was that simply a silly little tale told to the young ones for amusement? nonetheless he began to search near the water, on the trees -- Ah hah! A caterpillar was found munching away on a leaf! Though it looked to be orange, black and speckled with white. Not at all what he had been imagining the critter to look like. Luckily he was not a predator out to eat this brightly colored one.
With careful movements that minded his fire, he flew back to the old man with the little critter. Carefully he held it out to him.
The old dragon takes the caterpillar and sets it down, then takes a tincture of orange glowing liquid and drops a single drip on its little head poof! It turned back into a dragon!
A blink. Two blinks. Not only did this critter just turn into a dragon before his eyes - But a BABY dragon at that. Was the reward becoming a father? Why were these dragons even turned into little caterpillars? Had they been adults before this and simply reverted with this... Strange magic the other had been practicing? So many questions and yet Suku felt he could not ask the old one any of them.
"Well, little one. Guess you'll be my daughter now ~" A proud puff of his chest!
The baby dragon gave a few babbles then snuggles close to Suku.
"I'll name you.... Zhavi ~ Seems cute and fitting for you, my sweet little one."
And thus Suku very carefully led Zhavi back to her new home with him.
