pimpkilla2 thats right you can apply for your liscence (like you should need one, what a crock of s**t) Right. I forgot that guns aren't really dangerous and that anyone, no matter their age, criminal and mental history, or education on the subject, should be able to have one, no questions asked, especially one that they can hide on their person, no matter whether or not they would actually use it for "personal protection". Seriously, was that really necessary, or are you just trolling again?

First of all, I don't remember the "not insulting" rule being actually made or reported anywhere. But maybe it's me. I know it's not the best idea, but sometimes it's done to make a point. Second of all, Drewser, if you really think the legitimate question, "are you trolling?" is an insult, then we have an entirely different set of issues. eek

Seriously, was that really necessary, or are you just trolling again? Ok, the question of who can get a gun is taken care of by purchasing the gun(which is another issue not this one). The fact that you have to go and pay the state even more money for the right to carry your weapon(which you already had to purchase), and get another background check(just like the one you had to have to get the weapon), and giving even more personal information to the state, just to attain the right to carry your weapon can be seen by many as a crock. The initial concern is already taken care of in the purchase of a gun, and now, not only do you have to get a permit/license to be able to exercise your right to keep and bear arms(you know the one that shall not be infringed) but you have to pay even more money to the state. Would you take this kind of crap for the right of free speech?

While I may want a gun, I have to concede that a class should be taken and passed by anyone who wants to buy a gun in the US. As of now, it's possible to just go and buy one. I think that may have something to do with the, what, 11 000 or so gun murders in America per year? (don't quote me on that figure).
We might just want to have some system to test competancy before awarding the right to buy or own a gun. It just might help.
