This commercial area is truly bustling...between a nearby mall and street after street of shopping, it strikes an interesting contrast between happy, relaxed teenagers shopping with friends and harried people running errands. It's well-designed architecturally, though, and there are open places and public art dotted all over, and plenty of places to sit and relax.
Somewhere in all this business, a perfectly pale, delicate-looking woman weaves through crowds as best she can. She seems to be looking for something or someone, for all appearances, and is quite stressed about it.

Al-Hadiye whirred over the heads of the crowd, occasionaly doubling back to bounce on a man's head a few times before zooming off again, a tinkling sound of giggling trailing after her.
Faras sighed and continued waeving his way through the crowd, mumbling under his breath whenever the Switch decided that he needed to hurry up. "I'm coming, I'm coming..."
Al-Hadiye finally found the place she was looking for, and did a few somersaults in the air, then hovered in place until Faras reached her. With a dainty flip of her wing, she settled on top of his head, the small gem on her 'forehead' glowing a bright orange.

Minna's eyes continued to scan the crowds from behind her dark glasses...of course, she didn't know why she was even here. The logic said something about how Zaagade was likely to be attracted to the chaos of this place, especially since he was pretty sociable, but...what were the chances of her just spotting him in all of this, really? He was so small, and the business dustrict was so big. He may not even be here.
She sighed inwardly. She couldn't help but worry...it had been two days since she'd seen him. She just hadn't thought to put the house on lockdown during a thunderstorm. After all, Zaagade had never run away from her before...and she'd thought that the rain would keep him inside, else she wouldn't have fallen asleep.
Well...there was no time for regrets now. Only time to find Zaagade.
The albino stiffens suddenly, eyes widening, before her heart sank. No. Not Zaagade. But...another switch? That was certainly interesting. She changed direction, moving to intercept Faras. "Excuse me, sir?"

Faras halted in mid-stride as a woman stepped in front of his path. Tilting his head to the side, he stared at the woman for a moment before responding. "Can I help you?"
Al-Hadiye, who was dislodged from her perch when Faras tilted his head, flittered around, the jewel flickering red for a few moments before it turned to a deep blue. She bobbed her way over to the woman and flew around her for a few times, before returning to Faras and settling on his (hopefully) more stable shoulder.

"One can always hope. I simply wanted to ask...well, I notice that you have a switch for a companion as well, and I know that my Zaagade has a tendency to seek out other switches. I was wondering whether you and your friend have run into another switch in the last couple of day? A mostly yellow one, with crystalline wings?" Her eyes were practically begging him to say "yes," though her face on the whole was calm. She's good at maintaining an air of false amiability through stress.

Faras though for a moment, turning his head to stare at the switch on his shoulder, before heaving a sigh and shaking his head. "I am sorry, we have not." Blinking, he pushed a lock of hair out of his face before adding another comment. "We could help you look for him, though, if you would like."

Minna's eyes brightened a little at this after the initial disappointment, but then sobered again. Not completely, she truly appreciated the offer, but...still. "I appreciate the offer, I really do...but I'm not sure where to begin looking by this point. He wandered off during the storm two days ago. Any ideas are more than welcome, but at the same time, I hesitate to ask you to leap into a wild goose chase." She smiles at Al-Hadiye a little. She misses Zaagade, but this switch is very cute.

Faras smiled slightly before shaking his head. "It is no trouble, really. Ah, where are my manners? My name is Faras, and this is Al-Hadiye." He innclined his head in a sort of informal bow. "It is a pleasure to meet you." He paused for a moment, thinking. "Does this switch of yours have a favorite place to go or anything? Because you could start by looking there..."

"Minna Adair. It's pleasure to meet you both. And thank you, really." The albino managed a smile at this. It really was very nice to meet good people, whatever the circumstances. "Well, I'm looking here because Zaagade tends to be attracted to this or that bit of chaos...but on the other hand, he may just be lost, reticent, and ready to be home by now, which could change his habits. We went to the zoo a week or so ago with a friend...he seemed quite fascinated by some of the animals there. It's one of the places that I haven't looked, and my next stop."

The corners of his mouth twitched upwards slightly as he chuckled. "Yes, I know how that is. 'Diye here seems to enjoy going off on her own all day, and usually returns with a pack of angry dogs on her heels." He shot the switch a questioning glance at the last comment, but she just sat there, looking innocent. With a quirk of one eyebrow, he turned back to Minna. "Well then, to the zoo it is?"

Only one corner of Minna's mouth twitched at that, smirk-ish, though she was smiling a bit to begin with, anyway. She nodded. "Yes, I think so."
"So..." she inquired once they'd been walking a minute or so... "how long have you and Al-Hadiye been acquainted?"

He glanced over at the switch who was exuding an air of smugness before replying. "A few months or so, I think...Though she's made it seem a whole lot longer." He poked Al-Hadiye as he said this, who fluttered up and bounced on his head a few times before settling down.

Minna had to chuckle at this. "Yes, well...I'm quite sure that the neighborhood dogs agree with you." Her eyes sparkle at Diye's response. She and Zaagade should get along well...assuming they find Zaagade.

He winced slightly at that remark. "Yees, I think they would. I'm suprised that they haven't started chasing after her with nets yet." 'Diye shrank back into Fras' hair, the jewel glowing pink. He chocked back laughter at her actions. "I guess they already have, then! So, has yours been quite as troublesome?" He asked, grinning widley.

"Zaagade is mostly...very loud." Minna laughed softly. "I have a collection of ethnic musical instruments that he's absolutely fascinated by...especially the drums. I've awakened twice in the middle of the night know convinced that world war III had started in my guest room. I don't want to discourage him from music, but we're working on the concept of "decent hours' still." Minna grins at Faras at that. "Oh, yes, and he's responsible in some way for tripping me six times now."
