Name: Cad Gender: Male Stage: InfantColor: Red hindquarters and a blue face and arms, divided by a white band. Yellow dots his head and accents his claws, while a strange marking decorates his side. If only he could read it.. Personality: A happy little gryph. Active and playful, he's always looking for a new way to have fun. Often found tumbling around or dropping in to places, he gets around as much as he can, for such a small guy.

First Thoughts

Sleepy time? Cad still wanted to play.
His den mother set him down in a small area with many of the other chicks, the watchful denmothers looking on, occasionally glancing down to ensure none of the chicks were rolling away. All around him, Cad could hear the soft breathing of the others. Why didn't anyone want to play? It wasn't much fun in the sleepy cave.As if he was making sure it was indeed a cave, Cad let out a short, pitchy chirp, and the sound bounded off he walls into the outside world. His own echo scared him, and Cad buried his face into the closest chicks back.
The sound passed and Cad sniffed around. This place wasn't very nice. He wanted to go outside but was stuck until he was taken out, so he set his head down and remain ever attentive, fearing the big noise might return.

First Steps
"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
Running from one end of the field to the the other, Cad's lungs should have been starting to ache. Instead he was screaming the entire way, seeming to hold an endless supply of energy and a lung capacity to match, he was starting to wear on the Den Mother's nerves. Only his ward seemed unphased by the hyperactivity, chattering on about nothing to the others and her inability to keep Cad in one place."Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
This was so much fun. The breeze catching his fur with each bounding step was pleasant, and Cad longed for the day he would fly. Already, walking had become old, and running had lost its novelty. He jumped into the air, flapped his little wing stubs, and crashed to the ground. He giggled and rolled in the grass, enjoying the abrupt collision, and the tumbling that always followed. Running would have to do for now.
