For awhile i've been thinking about buying an accoustic bass guitar but I'm uncertain about it i've never heard one played live and i've never played one so i'd like to get some feed back on this.

I've heard an accoustic bass on the Alice in Chains "Unplugged" and it sounded pretty good. I've also considered buying one! I'd say go with Ibanez because I think they are the leader in accoustic basses.

I'd liked to get one just to mess around with. I would get an acoustic/electric bass.
I bought a $220 Rogue AB-304 Acoustic Electric. Not very loud acoustically, but slap some Ernie Ball Earthwood strings on that babay and it improves the sound by alot. Plus, I got the flame maple top, and I must say, for a bass as cheap as that, it's beautiful.

I've heard one played, like, once. It didn't sound so great, but the guy was also playing it with a pick and was SLAMMING the strings because you couldn't hear him otherwise.

I picked it up and held it, but I didn't play it. I don't like the weight difference. XD

I want an acoustic bass reallyreallyreallyreallyreeeeeeeaaaaaally bad, I love the sound and I feel more secure and balanced with the bigger instrument on my lap. It also eliminates the need for an amp, you just grab it and go to town.
