Naturally (hehe) if there's a page devoted to Eddings, there's going to be some talk about a movie. As far as I know, there are no plans whatsoever for a movie based on any of their books. But I figured I'd start a page just for "what ifs."

So this is the page to say who you want to be in the movies, if ever there were any. Please don't make any more threads about casts. One's enough.

I think Angelina Jolie would be a good Polgara and Johnny Depp as Silk. Also, Jasper Harris would be the perfect young Errand/Eriond.

I agree with Jonny Depp as Silk! He would rock that role.

The provost of my school would make a good Barak, only he's not an actor sweatdrop He's really tall and has a big red, bushy beard. As for anyone else... I can't think of any.

Robbie Coltrane could do Barak, though he doesn't really have a warrior physique...Or maybe that red haired Scot from Braveheart.

I agree about Johnny Depp as Silk.

I think Angelina Jolie wouldn't make a very good Polgara, however... she'd be a better Salmissra, in my opinion. Catherine Zeta-Jones might make a good Polgara, though.

I don't like Catherine Zeda-Jones and I hate Sean Connery. Angelina would make a good Salmissra, but I think she would do an excellent Polgara. Beautiful, powerful, and with a commanding presence.

I love those cast lists. I really gotta agree with most of them except for the older Garion one, but then again I don't like that actor to begin with. As far as the Elenium/Tamuli I was thinking more along the lines of Hugh Jackman for Sparhawk though. He just has that tough-boy yet funny kinda thing going for him.

I liek the female cast for the belgariad, but I have to disagree with a lot of the male cast. One thing, I always pictured Mandorallen as more muscular than Tom Cruise. Another...I think a more everyday man would be better for Durnik. True, he's a blacksmith and has muscles, but I don't think Steven Segal fits it. And I question Jean-Claude Van Dam...but I suppose it could work....
