I've named my Sims after characters. I had a grumpy chap named Sparhawk. He didn't get very far with the ladies.

Nope, never done it. But i'm sure I will one day. Get a pretty red kitty and name it Ce'Nedra. Spoilt pretty kitty...spoilt pretty princess...wow, it's a perfect match!

I named a jump drive 'Aphrael', because it would never work when I needed it to. And anyway, it was pink and it had a personality just like the goddess.
Giving children weird names from fantasy books is a little wackohead, but a pet is fine. My ex-boyfriend had a blender he named 'Silk.' It was Cuisinart, I think. I remember it was lime-colored, but that's really all.

I know its sad, but I plan to call my son Geran, its such a nice name, and its not a main character so its not too obvious

I tried to get my brother to name his son after characters in the books I've read. I suggested Garion and Win (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) and Derian (Firekeeper) and Saben (Deed of Paksennarrion.) He never really took me seriously. I wanted him to be named something unusual, yet not something he'd get too teased about. He ended up naming him Sabastian, and every now and then I call him Saben for short. I'm trying to get it to catch on.

There are a small family of kittens living in our backyard. We didn't want them to starve so we fed them. The Black one was getting picked on so i tricked it to come inside yesterday.
Anyway I was going to name it polgara if it was a girl becasue of the small white patch on its chest. It's a boy, sadly, so I call him Jiggsaw, from my favorite movies, Saw and 2.

My name is Rory, (red-headed, too) but my mom told me if I was a girl she was gonna name me Ce'nedra, and and she apparently toyed around with naming me Garion. I don't have a pet of my own, sadly enough, but if I ever get a cat, I'll probably name it Sparhawk or Sephrenia (my two favorite characters).

I tried to get my brother to name his son after a character from a book. I suggested a lot of different names from a lot of different books: Garion, Derian (Firekeeper series by Jane Lindskold), Win (Girls in Pants by Ann Brashares), Saben (Deed of Paksennarrion by Elizabeth Moon). But they're all a bit unusual, so he wouldn't go for it. He ended up naming him Sabastian (yes, with that spelling). Which I fought against throughout the pregnancy. But it's grown on me. And I still call him Saben for short.
