I know we all have our favorite parts. So lets share them with every one. I would like to see this become a discussion about the characters and how they intermingle. Also this could be a what if senario of characters from ALL the books such as Sparhawk meets Mandorallen etc.
This does not have to be word for word. Paraphraseing is a wonderful thing. If however you wish to quote it word for word, that is fine also.

Here are some things that made me smile, just to get the ball rolling. I love it when Sir Beiver cuts off the heads of thoes men, and then prays for thier souls. it made me smile. I also love the time when they all exchanged faces. Homocidle maniac was I belive a discription used. And when Tallen was falling down the tree, but no one could help him. Because they couldn't see him through the branches. All that magic and they stood thier helpless. I love it when Lelldorin tells Garion about his journey to Riva. How he accidently ran his cousin throug, hit the gaurd over the head, so that he wouldn't hurt him. I laugh all the way through it very time I read it. and over the last 14 years I've read it alot! I love the part when Garion and CeNedra "bathe together", Oh Polgara what a wicked woman you can be. twisted rofl

I like it when Belgarath chews Garion out for messing with the weather. Then again, I also like the scene where he messes with the weather...

I like the bathing scene with Ce'Nedra and Garion. Oooh, Polgara, you evil, evil lady.
The scene in 'Dawn Of Fire' where Sparhawk is caught talking to his daugher's toy Rollo is particularly funny.
I was disappointed by the final battle in "Enchanter's End Game," unfortunately. It just wasn't as good as I was anticipating it to be. Oh well. Expectations create disappointments.

One of my favorite parts of Eddings books is how seamlessly the characters talk with each other. The dialogue flows convincingly and realistically. I always imagine a meeting with Ce'Nedra and Sephrenia, or Sparhawk and Barak exchanging blows. I have such sympathy for Barak! The bear-thing must be really hard for him, never trusting himself or being able to predict when it's going to happen again.

The one scene in the Belgariad that made me laugh out loud and feel such sympathy for Garion is when he tries to push the rock outside Belgarath's tower with the Will and the Word and he sinks himself into the mud instead. Silk and Belgarath eventually find him, but start teasing him, I felt his embarrasment so keenly!
Queenie, I agree so much about what you said about the dialogue, it just flows so well and Edding's is one of the few non-comic fantasy authors (such as prachett) that have made me laugh out loud and genuinely smile at what the characters say.

Silk and Belgarath eventually find him, but start teasing him, I felt his embarrasment so keenly! It was actually Silk and Hettar that found him. I love the exchange between Hettar and Adara. And when Polgara has a tantrum. And... well I love the everything in those books.

I just re-read Polgaras "fit" when she destroyes her quarters after she finds Garion has stolen away from her. I find it wonderful. She is a control freak, and she wants to protect and control her son. LOL. Yes I said son, because she raised him. In all respects she is his mother. Oh poor CeNedra to have her as a mother-in-law! sit back and watch the fireworks. LOL

I'm pretty sad so I enjoyed the romance/argument scenes with Garion and Ce Nedra in Belgariad and Mallorean. I also liked the scene where Garion calls down the massive thunderstorm to stop the war between Mandorallen and another Mimbrate Baron.

But she does act like his mother, and he does treat her as such.

I loved the part in the Pawn of Prophecy when Garion gets lost in those tunnels and gets stuck up there. It was funny how he was like "ummmm...I'm up here...." all nerveous like and then Polgera is all like "WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING UP THERE!?!" except in milder terminology xd I also loved the part in the Sapphire Rose where Sparhawk finds out Danae is Aphrael! That was SO funny! I also liked the end of the Hidden City when Sparhawk is battling Crygon, he had just run him through and he is talking about why he had to fight. That was just (for me) a moment of pure understanding and peace. I also loved (yes, the list goes on and on!) the part where Sparhawk asks Behilliom to take back the power it gave him. His reasons made total sense to me and I agreed completely. Well, I think I should stop talking (writing) before you guys all think I am quite mad...... even though I am.......... xd 3nodding rofl

I loved it in Polgara the Sorceress, and to a lesser extent in Belgrath the Sorcerer, when Pol decides to be pretty.

I loved the fight between Brill and Silk and the dialoge afterwords makes the whole scene even better, so here it is word for word.
"Silk!" Garion exclaimed, catching the little man's arm in relief. "What was that?" Belgarath asked, coming back around the corner. "Brill," Silk replied blandly, pulling his Murgo robe back on. "Again?" Belgarath demanded with exasperation. "What was he doing this time?" "Trying to fly, last time I saw him." Silk smirked. The old man looked puzzled. "He wasn't doing it very well," Silk added. Belgarath shrugged. "Maybe it'll come to him in time." "He doesn't really have all that much time." Silk glanced out over the edge. From far below - terribly far below - there came a faint, muffled crash; then, after several seconds, another. "Does bouncing count?" Silk asked. Belgarath made a wry face. "Not really." "Then I'd say he didn't learn in time," Silk said blithely.

I love the battle of Vo Mimbre, I think it's brilliant and a lot more readable than most battles in books.
I find the bit where Belgarath is trying to give Polgara sex education and she just lets him blunder on rofl I know it's kind of immature but I still think it's funny.

Ye gods, yes that was good! I also liked where Garion stopped the war between Mandorallen and Sir Endig. I loved when he was talking to Nerina (?) and the idea he was going to use magic ever-so-slowly crept into her head. Polgara's and Belgareth's and Polgara's and Beldin's exchanges were always funny. Just hilarious.
