The night was cool, perfect in the the small japanese garden. The water ran cold, the trees swaying in a soft midnight breeze. The serenity was broken up only by the sounds of wildlife, squirels, crickets, birds.
One rather large bird sat up in one of the luxuriously colred cherry trees, his crimson wings folded around him. Though he looked like he was sleeping, his deep blue eyes watched the world around him, mostly, his son.
Orion moved about the cool ground, his large black wings spread wide, his stance treatening, he was looking at a golden female who seemed to be mimicing him. Obviously neither was happy, and it showed, but the father in the tree did little to stop them.

*Byakko flew far away from the aviary. Coming through the sky, he noticed a garden of oriental appearance. He noticed this style from Leena's house. But movement below caught his sight. The dark blue feathers fluttered lightly as he descended to the ground. There! He knew he had saw fellow animals of his kind! A song full of friendly greeting sang out to them.*

Hearing a familiar song, Io lifted his head. Seeing that lovely form of blue he sang a song of greeting in return. He flew fro mthe tree landing on the ground between his son and Hathor. "Silence the both of you..Byakko has found us." He chuckled and bowed his head to his old friend.
Orion blinked as his father stepped between them. He looked othe sky and quickly took to shok at the sight of Byakko. "how did he?? I mean...you never told him did you father??"
Hathor, disgusted by the interruption moved bac kfro mthe other two, his feathers ruffling as she sat on the cool ground, his wings wrapped tightly around her. "He'd do well to learn not to interrupt..."

*A stare not often experienced from the kindly synix was shot over at Hathor. Those light blues could speak a million words in one gaze. But his smile was warm and he seemed very happy to see everyone. His song recalled how he missed them all and inquired of how they had been. Such songs he heard from Hathor and Orion indicated to him that he may not have been welcomed but at least he would try his best to greet them*

Io moved closer to Byakko as he landed and ran his head along the other's neck in greeting. "It's been too long, Byakko...it is good to see that you are still with us..." He motioned ot his son to come closer. "Orion has grown much since last you saw him..."
Orion glanced once over at Hathor and then moved to his father's side, bowing his head to him. "My father speaks of you often, Byakko, as well as does aunt Tear..." He chuckled.
Hathor caught the glared and swiftly stuck her tongue out at the older synix. She rested her head on her feathers and quickly fell to sleep.

*A pained expression was on his face at the mention of his beloved Tear.* "Have you guys seen her? We lost each other on the flight back and this is the first time I've been able to leave the aviary in months." *His song was curious and meek. Such a worry on the blue moon's face made him look ancient*

Io nodded to Byakko, he looked so sad, so alone. "She has been here, with Polaris. She has been staying with us for awhile now, she did not mention having lost you, but she has been crying for you since the day she got here." He sighed and shook his head. "I guess I know why now..."

*A sigh escaped him. How he longed to just see her face once more. But a thought occured to him. Lifting his head, he looked this way and that. Byakko's song then grew curious* "Io.. where are we anyway? I just happened by chance to this place."

Io laughed and shook his head at Byakko. "We are in the middle of a garden, where do yu think we are??" He smiled warmly and let the other look around. "It is a summer home for my master..that is all."
Orion looked around and sighed. "Not much of a place, Hathor makes everything dark and gloomy with her bad mood." He rolled his eyes, it was obvious that Orion and Hathor did not see eye to eye.

*Byakko chuckled and smiled warmly to Orion* "The garden is beautiful nevertheless." *His song was more cheerful but his face seemed so aged* "I'm glad you guys have been here rather then at the aviary. A lot of bad things have been happening there."

"Bad things?? please do tell me, old friend. What has been happening back home?" He was worried, he did not like the way that Byakko spoke of back home, it scared him.

*His wings stretched open, and then closed tightly around his body. His head hung as he stared at the ground* "Something changed. Synix that are the same but yet different showed up. One for Draven.. and one for me.." *His eyes turned and he looked up pleadingly at Io and Orion as if trying to convince them as well as himself* "I try believing that there is good in every synix. I really do.. But after what happened to Draven... "

*Byakko heard movement and saw a chick go over to Io. As he turned he gasped seeing his mate. His eyes turend up to the dark night's sky. When those light blue eyes locked onto his moon, his form immediately melted into that of his human shape. The blue moon ran over to her side, and wrapped his arms around Tear's waist from behind. His head rested on her shoulder as he whispered with such relief* "You're safe.. thank the heavens."
